this dude over at Burger King posted an image of him stepping in a bunch of lettuce on 4chan. obviously, 4chan wasn't taking any of that and decided to track that bitch down through some crazy FBI shit with some information contained in the image that the dude posted. they managed to find out where the image was taken, and they called the manager, telling him that some serious shit went down in the kitchen and the manager was pissed. they also contacted some local news establishments and stuff and told 'em what was up.
eventually, the dude got what was coming to him and got terminated for his one and only violation. burger king also released some statement thingy:
Burger King Corp. is aware of a photo that shows a BURGER KING® restaurant employee violating the company’s stringent food handling procedures. Food safety is a top priority at all BURGER KING® restaurants and the company maintains a zero-tolerance policy against any violations such as the one in question.
The restaurant where this photo was taken is independently-owned and operated by a BURGER KING® franchisee. The franchisee has taken swift action to investigate this matter and has terminated the three employees involved in the incident.”
i think this story is hilarious. 4chan certainly showed that dude. i always have this feeling in the back of my mind that somebody sabotaged my food whenever i go to like, McDonalds or something but that's just because i'm a loonie. now i know i'm not that crazy after all.
man. fast food sure is something, eh?
edit: here's how they obtained the location information, through the wonders of some thing called geotagging.
