As long as I don't have to hear ignorant statements about America from everyone around me, I'll be fine with the loss. But living in Canada, and being patriotic for the USA is tough, everyone just makes anti-american jokes constantly, ragging on Americans' supposed idiocy (not realizing how dumb THEY sound themselves), this'll drive them over the fucking edge. I think they'd just figure it was flag-pants Moday in the United States... not to be confused with flag pants-tuesdays, or sequined flag-jacket Fridays, of course. But the fact that the game was that close, I don't think people would look at you funny. I'd just look at you and say something like, "great game... great game. Also, I notice it seems to be flag pants Monday again."

But I know it won't be this way. Hockey is the only thing Canada is aggressive about, so tomorrow is just gonna be reaaaal awkward at work. Everyone's gonna be all "hey, it's so great that canada won, right?" and I'd just have to avoid the issue or be awkward and talk about how I don't watch sports or something.
I am disappointed but going into the Olympics I was hoping to get to play for the Bronze, so to take Canada to overtime in the Gold Medal game was awesome for me.

No. Face it head on. That game could have gone either way. I mean, shots were 36-39 for Canada, which is dead-even, and the USA had beat Canada earlier in the tournament. You should be proud of your hockey team, since it just as easily could have been the United States with the extra gold medal. 30 years ago, the best team USA could put together was a rag-tag team of college players to win the "miracle on ice". Now they've just entered into an era of evenly matched rivalry between Canada and the USA. Russia's irrelevant. USA is the team to beat.

Yeah that's true, hope those finals happen again, it's an epic fight. My only problem is I like games with goals out the ass, more fun to watch. I'd like seeying a close game with like 5 goals on each side or something. That's REALLY epic. But Miller's too much of a brick wall, and the US team didn't seem to go for those shots with as much relentlessness as Canada for that to happen.

He was tied for 6th in tournament scoring. How is that invisible?
