To make a long, furious story much shorter, someone in the apartment let one of these 'new cats' into my room, and the fucking thing pissed all over the bed. I keep them out of my room for a reason (aside from my cat of eight years, who is well behaved), but whichever retard this was doesn't seem to GET that.
Anyway, I was just wondering, is there any way to salvage my sheets and comforter? I won't be able to wash them until 7:00 AM, and I was reading online where a bunch of places said "USE VINEGAR!" Well, I don't have any.
Will a normal machine wash make it alright? The stain is concentrated, but it was so excessive that it went through three layers of bedding all the way to the mattress. For those of you wondering, I bleached the shit out of the mattress and flipped it over. But I'm worried about the bedding; it's pretty expensive. Again, I'm not going to be able to really do anything for another three or so hours, so what should I do? Will a normal wash fix this up, or are these sheets more or less trash now?
If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it.
Cat just pissed all over the bed, fantastic. What do I do?
Man, that sucks hard.
Unfortunately I know nothing in the way of cleaning stains, but I wish you the best and offer my condolences.
" @Axxol: I almost wanted to kill that thing, actually -- you're not far off. "Lol. I deleted my post before I read your reply. I thought you would've taken it the wrong way.
Urinate all over it to neutralize the cat piss. Then use some febreze and that smelly carpet powder stuff. Throw it in the oven and you should be good to go.
Was piss or was it scented? Cat pee is bad enough, but if it was trying to send a FUCKOFF message to your cat, then you're boned. If you don't have any enzyme based clearners handy, (Which you should with cats), then I don't know. You can try rubbing the spots with laundry soap and baking soda, but should wash it pretty soon after.
Get some Spray and Wash and douse that shit, then throw it in the washer. It works for dog urine perfectly, so it should work for cat urine.
For the sheets I mean, your fucked on the whole mattress thing. Bleach and Febreeze seem to be the best case scenario.

This is clearly the best post in this thread and deserves to be recognized.
Our cat has peed on my mother's bed multiple times, and simply washing the sheets and blankets that were peed on the same way we normally would was all that was ever needed. There was never any scent or stain leftover. *shrugs* Not that big of a deal.
Yeah, but until then you might want to perform a little impromptu cleaning of your own so the piss doesn't dry up in the sheets while you're waiting. Get some dish soap and water and start scrubbing. Basically don't allow that shit to dry up because it might have a better chance of retaining any odor that may not be present now but will remain even after washing it in the washer.
Oh yeah, and get rid of that fucking cat. When no one's around kidnap that bitch and drive 50 miles out to the country and drop it off. It'll survive. It's a fucking cat, for God's sake; it has survival instincts.
"Must depend of the cat. My old cat pissed on an arm chair once and the smell so far has out lived the cat by about 3 years. It got taken away in the end to be reupholstered. Our cat has peed on my mother's bed multiple times, and simply washing the sheets and blankets that were peed on the same way we normally would was all that was ever needed. Well, yeah, but you can't put an arm chair in a washing machine. :P
Sorry man, same thing happened to me last year. I went in my room and saw the cat lying next to it's piss looking so pleased with itself. Well I picked that mother fucker up and literally threw him 20 feet out the door and then put all my sheets and blankets in the garbage and slept in a sleeping bag on my mattress for 3 months until I got a new set for christmas.
" Throw your sheets in the trash and throw the cat in the wash. "I've heard the other way round works pretty well too.
