My first road bike, I decided to go with an off-brand bike from the internet and I love it to death. I've always been a dedicated mountain biker but living in the great plains in the pan handle of Texas I decided to try something new. It's so awesome! Longest ride yet is 25 miles, I'm hoping to do a 35 mile today!

Nice.  My dad tried to get me into this.  I tried velodromes and endurance rides, but it never clicked for me.  He still does it every weekend.

I ride roughly 15miles every day(work and back) I have a Cube AMS pro 100

No Caption Provided

I have asphalt tires instead of the standard "nobby nic" makes it a bit more heavy, but no flats=) Can't wait until the weather gets a bit warmer and the ice clears from the forest...

Really nice. I'm thinking of getting into cycling and buying a couple of bikes (mountain and road). How much did that set you back if you don't mind me asking?

I'm a fan. I fucking love mountain biking. I'll probably be working out in Philmont, New Mexico, those of you who were Boy Scouts know where I'm talking about... I'll have plenty of time to bike out there, I can't wait....although 3 months without video games is kinda a bummer.

@Scooper: The Cube was a show model so i got it a bit cheaper but it still cost me roughly 18000kroner roughly 3000 USD. with all the extras. But for a first purchase there is no need to go all out, and no need for both the front and rear suspension unless you are planning on doing some downhill mountain biking. I would recommend the Race model from Cube or  the Acid model depending on your price range or the Attention as a starter mtb. Looking back i should have gone for a front suspension only, as i've only had "real" use for the back suspension very few times. Trek also make great bikes, but i guess it all comes down to where you live and what you can get there, as these are big in Europe and I don't know about other places.

And now I'll try to stop writing about bikes.... how about them games huh?

ugh, I used to live in Eugene Oregon, which is probably one of the best biking cities you can find. Bunch of bike paths, cars expect bikes...

then I moved to Vegas which has literally one bike path I've seen. I bike 5 miles to and from college, which is basically all my exercise.

@Laketown: Yeah Eugene is really nice for cycling, most of the state is, though I always respect cyclists in downtown portland.
