Christian Bale, a bad guy?

Christian Bale has been in the UK for a week or something promoting the new batman flick, and according to the tabloids on sunday he allegedly assaulted his mum and sister.

After seeing the characters he portrays in American Psycho and Harsh Times it's not hard to believe he has a bad temper. But then look at him in The Machinist, he can definately take a lot of physical and mental pain as he starved himself for that role.

I myself don't believe that he actually did anything physical to either of them.

Yeah, I think he's a great actor and I hope the rumors aren't true.

Then again, I don't really care about celebrities lives

I imagine the news sources have made a big deal out of it. I heard somewhere it was verbal abuse anyway, not physical like many are touting. Both are pretty bad though ;)

Apparently it amounts to nothing more than a "verbal assault" and it wasn't even reported by the family members, probably some arse hole overheard an argument and decided to report it to get his/her 15 minutes.

I'm not sure what I believe. I'm normally a very trusting person, and Bale seems nice enough. Mind you, you never know.

Provided that this is all true, does one mistake make you a bad person?

I never pictured him as the violent type, but hell Russel Crowe is violent person but a bloody good actor.

It was verbal assault. I don't exactly know what that entails but it just sounds like a heated argument. Which I sometimes have with family members.

What he does on his own time is his business , All I care is that hes a good actor.

Probably some minor incident blown way out of proportion. Mostly because of all the attention Dark Knight is getting.

No. One of the few things I hate about my country is how the media lives for the opportunity to crucify celebrities. I think there is spin on this story blowing the events out of proportion. He did not beat his mother and sister, he had a heated arguement with them.

I can't count the number of times I have mouthed off to my family, however that doesn't mean I don't love them. And that certainly doesn't mean I am a bad guy.

Jeez if people could hear some of the arguements I've had with my parents I would be up for that too.

A ridiculous thing to happen due to some twat with nothing better to do than make up trouble to get 15mins of fame.
