I just rewatched the trilogy and I just found something that will blow your mind. In the first movie, Doc Brown says the engine in the Delorean is electrical with plutonium powering the flux capacitor. After they get the Mr. Fusion, in the third movie they then say the Delorean actually runs on an internal combustion engine rather than an electrical engine. What do you think???? Do the film makers take us for a bunch of morons???
Contradiction in Back to the Future Trilogy
Holy bajeezus. Please don't use a picture of yourself after you've just woken up in the morning as your avatar.
" @JJWeatherman said:That's what I'm here for! : )" @ryanwho: Holy bajeezus. Please don't use a picture of yourself after you've just woken up in the morning as your avatar. "I can always count on Weatherman to grasp at even the lowest hanging fruit. Thanks for the quality burn Bill Engval. "
Seriously though, what is that?
There's no contradiction. You just weren't listening properly.
BTF1: The engine runs on regular petrol. The time circuits require plutonium... or a well timed lightning bolt.
BTF2: The engine still runs on petrol. The time circuits can now be powered by organic waste using the future "Mr.Fusion".
BTF3: The engine continues to use petrol. However, the fuel line is cut when Marty is attacked by indians. The time circuits can still be powered by the Mr.Fusion without trouble. The problem in this film is getting the car up to 88 miles per hour with no gas. Hence why they have to shove it with a car. They have no problem with the flux capacitor (no need for radioactive matter or a lightning bolt).
The only way you've blown my mind is by demonstrating how little someone can pay attention to the dialogue in a film.
" The contradiction in back to the future is there's time travel, which is impossible. These are fantasy movies, dude. So. "Time travel is a science fiction concept, not fantasy. Science fiction predicted submarines, moon shots and a whole bunch of other technologies. Quantum Entanglement may lead to aspects of Time Travel.

"I too have pondered this, and it seems the only logical conclusion is that Doc Brown clearly invented the world's first hybrid electrical-IC-nuclear vehicle. God help us all.
" Blanka from the Street Fighter movie. AKA Charlie (spoiler alert) "Ah of course. Should have known that.
I just noticed that at the end of the first movie, everyone's life is different than it was at the beginning. This is obviously a huge problem, and I don't think there's anything in the films that explains this inconsistency.
