In your opinion is it great or do you think its all hype because of heaths death. I think YAY its good.
Dark Knight Yay or Nay?
It hasn´t been released here yet but I´m guessing it´s a big fucking YAY!!!!!!!!! or at least hoping it is :)
It was the greatest comic book movie ive ever seen. Massive yay. I thought when people were saying Heath Ledger should get an oscar is was because when people die there performances are elevated a little bit, but no. there can never be another joker, he set the bar and no one will ever reach it again.
I thought it was great. The beginning was a bit slow but it eventually picked up. I believe it's the best I've seen this year but I don't think its the best I've ever seen. Everyone's complaining on IMDB about how it's above the Godfather in the rankings.
Yes i will add to it, the movie is amazing its real high quality stuff not only for a superhero movie but as an artistic one. The Joker was really mindblowing. From the get go the movie dosent let up.
I am totally blown away. Heath Ledger has officially created a place in my heart and mind as one of the best actors that I have ever seen.
He was the best Joker out of all the other Jokers, [yes, including Jack Nicholson's legendary performance], and he easily had more depth and was overall better than ALL the other movie villains that have ever graced the big screen.
He sent chills down my spines whenever he spoke because it was so hard to believe that the Joker was that same blonde guy with the Australian accent in "A Knight's Tale". Coming into the movie, if you didn't know the Joker was Heath Ledger, I can guarantee you that you would NEVER guess that the Joker was being played by Ledger. I sure as hell couldn't tell.
In front of Ledger's Joker, Christian Bale's, Aaron Eckhart's, and Gary Oldman's amazing performances seem nothing more than mediocre.
It wasn't just a great superhero movie, it was a great movie, period. Nothing I can say could describe how much I loved this movie.
Ledger's performance is beyond a shadow of a doubt oscar-worthy,, and he should definitely be recognized for such a remarkable role.
P.S - Did I mention that the friggin' Batpod friggin' breaks into a friggin' bike right before it friggin' self-destructs?!
The Dark Knight is by far one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Heath Ledgers performance left you wanting more from him. Its a shame that he is no longer with us.
I was quite pleasantly suprised by how incredibly complex the story was
something that has not been done in comic book movies since superman 2 with chris reeves
The Dark Knight will be a tough act to follow for the 3rd film
"Definite yay.Yay! To the film
Best magic trick ever??
"
Yay! To the director/writer
Yay! To the actors
Yay! To that magic trick
Even after sitting in the theater watching this movie for 2 and a half hours, i wanted more....it was THAT good.
I am still undecided. Probably going to watch it sometime soon. Batman really isn't my thing though.
I'm going to watch it today actually but what I heard from friends who have already seen it and from expert movie reviewers is YAY all the way.
Part of the hype is because of Heath Ledger's death, but most of the hype started after the first trailer back in December before he died and people saw how good his performance and the movie were going to be.
I absolutely loved it. It's the best movie I have seen in a while and I don't think it will be topped this year. As far as Ledger's performance, I can write an entire paper about it. I can't put it into a paragraph.
I enjoyed the movie but I'm not freaking out over how awesome it was. I know Batman has gadgets, like James Bond, but I was hoping he would use them less or just not have as many weird one use only gadgets. I was hoping that Batman Begins was a reboot to the series much like Casino Royal was to James Bond, less gadgets more dude being awesome. It also felt really apparent that Batman is just a dude in a suit, which just kinda feels odd. Batman Begins was about Batman becoming a symbol, like when he first showed up in the shipyard. People would see a shadowy figure and their buddy would vanish, or they would hear something behind them then wake up in the back of a cop car. People wouldn't see him or catch a quick blurry glimpse but that was it. Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed The Dark Knight, but I thought that it could have been better.
I would say "Yay". But then that'd be a HUGE understatement. Too be honest, when I found out Heath Ledger was The Joker, I was like, "What!? Who the HELL is casting this!?" Then I saw the film. If you haven't seen it... stop reading these posts and see it! Then you can see Heath Ledgers awesome magic trick. If you've seen the movie you know what I'm talking about. :P
Fuck yes! This movie was awesome. The worst thing I could say about the movie is now I have to wait 3-4 years for the third one. :( But then again Dark Knight ended in a postion where you knew they were going to make another one, but then again they really don't have too as not too much was left unanswered from the movie, but I still want to know what fully happens with all the characters and stuff.
Heath Ledger had/has? Created the best Joker that has ever been. Jack was good but man this was a stunning performance.
The problem is There will be more Batman Movies with this cast bar Heath of course and while the next movie may not have the Joker There needs to be the Joker to play the nemesis role this film produced so well and they will case someone who will be close but WOW they will have some massive shoes to fill and everyone will be comparing them to Heath
