I've been building a list of albums I want
delete please
Who's Next is a must-buy. Fantastic album, strong from start to finish. I'd also recommend Quadrophenia by Tne Who.
And dude, no Zeppelin?! Everyone will recommend IV, but my personal favourites are I, II and Physical Graffiti. If you don't get an album, then at least pick up a best of. You won't regret it.
"Kush said:"Kings of Leon ...all of their music."Seconded. Can't believe I overlooked them!"
Is it ignorant of me to say all their songs sound very "samey"?
Do I need to give them more of a chance?
That's quite a bit of variety you have there! It's hard to know where to start in response to list like that. But, you have some albums that I really love on it, so I assume we have moderately similar tastes. So, here some great albums:
Boxer by The National
Armchair Apocrypha by Andrew Bird
Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Ros
Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? by of Montreal
:)
"Jami Sieber. Amazing cello artist that does alot of ambient music. She's featured prominently on the Braid soundtrack.Ooo I will have to check her out, I loved Braid's music.
Tarsier - Are you Tarsier from WATMM?"

"Origin of Symmetry is the 2nd best after Absolution, but not by much. New Born is my favorite song of all time, but Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria and Falling Away With You are a hard combo to beat."I don't know man.
Space Dementia, New Born, Plug in Baby, Feeling Good and my most favourite Muse song ever Citizen Erased are pretty awesome.
Actually fuck it, just buy them both.
"adam_grif said:I already have both, + Hullabaloo Soundtrack. Am picking up BHAR and Showbiz sometime next month. Already have all the songs from all of them DL'd, but I want to support Muse, y'know?"Origin of Symmetry is the 2nd best after Absolution, but not by much. Also, I'm not a fan of space demenita. New Born and Plug in Baby are the best on that, then Citizen Erased. But with Absolution, the only track that isn't at least "good" is Ruled by Secrecy. Apocalypse please, Endlessly and Sing for Absolution are good but not great.
Still love both to death. As I said, I think Absolution is better only by a whisker.

Yeah Absolution is an amazing album as well, I just prefer their older stuff.
>_> I really need to pick up Hullabaloo sometime, only thing I'm missing.

If you are looking for a Bloc Party album, I recommend Silent Alarm over a Weekend in the City (which is on your list)
How can you have Bloc Party's 'Weekend in the City' but not 'Silent Alarm'? It's just as good as their first album, if not better.
Also I can't help but notice your lack of Modest Mouse (you need more of it), Radiohead, Bon Iver, Neutral Milk Hotel, Sigur Ros, Van Morrison, My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
