Do we have any Radiohead fans on GiantBomb?
Woo! to you good sir.
I started on OK computer, then went all over the place. It used to be Kid A, then Ok Computer, but now it seems that I've enjoyed In Rainbows the most now.
Favourite song by them: Let Down
Good form on Kid A. It's all I've been listening to for the last few weeks. So much depth to it. The first few tracks have so much hidden underneath what you initially hear, it's kind of a sensory overload. But after a few more listens all the way through, the melodies sort of bleed through to the surface. Amazing album.
Favorite Song: Idioteque
Ok Computer still gives me chills. The whole mood of that album is so haunting and atmospheric I love it!
Although I have been listening to "In Rainbows" as well, and I really got attached to "Last Flowers to the Hospital" off that album.
Only a few... you're somewhat fucking special. :-D
More of a Jaydiohead fan myself.
I recently really got into Radiohead this past year.
I listened to the albums in this order: In Rainbows, OK Computer, The Bends, Kid A, Hail to the Thief, Amnesiac. Not a huge fan of their first, but its an interesting listen. I was in love with In Rainbows for a long time before I even checked out their other stuff. As of right now, my favorite album of theirs is Kid A high at the top and Hail to the Thief right below it. Kid A has some of their most interesting work with National Anthem, Idioteque, Kid A, In Limbo. HttT has some of their most diverse work through the Gloaming, We Suck Young Blood, Myxomatosis, etc. I love it. Amnesiac isn't my favorite album but it has some amazing material. Pyramid Song alone makes it a must listen.
Anyway, they've recently climbed quickly to the top of favorite artist.
What is a Radiohead and could that be something to do with Thom Yorke? Because I love that mofo. Again, never heard of this 'pablo honey' you call Radiohead.
" Thom Yorke is probably the greatest song writer of our generation. "yeah i think he's gonna go down next to guys like Bob Dylan.
If I had to pick would maybe say Kid A -- tho out of anything Thom Yorke would say ive been listening to his solo album The Eraser the most.
Toss up between Kid A and The Bends for me, I love most of their stuff though. Street spirit is such a sad and emotionally draining song, I almost cry everytime but it's so brilliant. I love the variety and that the band seems to keep flowing in and out of genres as they progress musically.
Actually The Bends is kinda ehhh. Fake Plastic is one of their best songs, actually one of the best songs period. The rest of it is whatever
" @Seedofpower said:Yes." I don't have a favorite album because I'm not a fan. "ahhh soo your posting to get attention "
Yes, the early stuff though.
Behold one of the greatest music videos ever made...

I'm not what you'd call a fan, but I likes me a bit of radiohead, "pyramid song", "talk show host" and "just" are my favorites by a mile. I was working next to Victoria Park, when they were playing there a while back, it was eerie how most of Bethnal Green and Hackney was resonating to the sound of Yorke's voice, every word could be heard for miles, sounded great.
The Bends is so much different from the rest of their stuff. It's almost like they sought to fill the mold of what others wanted them to be (90's music) untill they finally figured out how to use all that brilliant talent they have.
Hail To The Theif
I wouldn't call myself a fan of them but I do like them (but not enough to be a fan).
A braves fan who loves Radiohead...You Sir are awesome. The Bends and OK Computer have special places in my heart, but any Radiohead is good Radiohead.
" i am but im american brits probably think we are pretentious or something for liking them "I'm from England. Why does being an American and liking a British band make you pretentious? They're a great band.
I think Kid A is one of the best albums ever made, but most of their category is also excellent. I love OK Computer and Amnesiac. Hail to the Thief is a great collection of songs, but somehow it's not a great album. I used to like The Bends a lot, but as time has worn on, I've become less fond of it. So yeah, Kid A's my favourite Radiohead album.
Now allow me to present my list of favourite songs from all the albums:
Pablo Honey - "You"
The Bends - "Street Spirit"
OK Computer - "Let Down"
Kid A - "How to Disappear Completely"
Amnesiac - "Pyramid Song"
Hail to the Thief - "Go To Sleep"
In Rainbows - "Nude"
B-Sides - "How I Made My Millions"
The Bends is my favorite, i think everyone who's anyone knows their 'best' is OK computer. OK computer basically just, defines every single song by every wannabe artsy rocker nowaday
Black star definately has their best bass line, yes including the national anthem.
As others have said street spirit is ridiculously- haunting, probably their saddest song which is obviously saying ALOT. not even bitter-sweet just a straight up downer, like Bulletproof..
and then on the flip side....
rock anthems like Bones or Just, and Just... oh man just is just the greatest song they've ever written. Nice dream's another one of my faves and that too is on the bends.
idk, i think some of you need to hear it again or sumn, op your saying some pretty blasphemous things there...too 90's? No The Bends created all 90's music there after, well with the help of the pixies.
High and Dry? Fake Plastic Trees? My Iron Lung? These aren't even the ones i listen to when i turn it on, but i think some of you are forgetting, or something... idk wak man.
