Do you do up the top button on a shirt?

Do you leave the top button undone or do it up?

I have it off because it would feel to tight and I like to show off my FANTASTIC upper chest :D

I leave it undone.  I feel like I'm being choked when the top button is done.

Undone, always. Sometimes I even undo two buttons if I'm feeling chesty.

I generally do up all my buttons, except on some of my smaller shirts. People occasionally mock me for this practice, but it makes me feel more secure somehow.

I leave the entire shirt open like Peter Andre in that Mysterious Girl video.

Not always, but most of the time I don't. It all depends on the way the shirt falls on your body. Some shirts look great buttoned up, some require less buttoning to look good. I guess it's in the stitching.

I only wear shirts with buttons when at relatively formal things, so I usually do up the top button.

I recently acquired new glasses and it seems to somehow fit the look.

I usually wear a t shirt under my button ups, so I end up leaving two or three buttons undone. 

When I'm wearing a tie.

I find doing that hides my bling so I don't, even when I wear a tie, it also helps bodily scents not stay trapped in the shirt, to have to top one open and one of the scents easy to pick up at a busy club is sweat, so f that.

I do tuck it in though.

Top button's never buttoned unless there's a tie involved.

No, not unless I'm going to something formal, in which case I would probably be wearing a tie too.

This too. I never button up the top two or sometimes all three buttons on a polo or button-up shirt since I wear a tank-top under it.

This also, if you are wearing a shirt underneath maybe more than one button can be unfastoned.

Do you mean the collar button? Or the one at the top of your chest?

Collar always open, top always buttoned, unless at home.

I do on my work shirts because the neck hole is huge.

Never, unless wearing a tie. Even then, if I'm feeling rebellious, I'll keep it undone with a tie and go for a rakishly dishevelled look. 
 
People who button the top button without a tie look stupid and the practice is often associated with the mentally impaired (or hopelessly nerdy).

Shirts with a collar typically have a button on the collar. Do you consider that the top button? I don't. I never button that one up.
 
The button below the collar line it depends. Usually it's undone but some shirts it looks alright to button it.
