Do you ever wait to see what's after the credits in the cinema?

But anywhoo... back on topic, who likes to sit through the credits during cinema viewings? For extra scenes, to contemplate the movie you just saw, or because it happens to have some kickass ending credits music.

Nope, I leave when the end credits start along with the theater lights going back on. I think it's pretty rare that there's something after the credits.

It depends on the quality of the film. I stay if I feel like the credits deserve to be seen.

no i don't wait through 8 minutes of credits to see a 30 second clip.

Not unless I've already heard that something will be there. Usually when the credits roll I wait for the crowd to leave.

no. screw credits. they are long and boring, and if you put stuff after it you are a jerk. i know people who watch the credits of every movie out of "respect" for the people working on the film. my thoughts are that if you work on a film because you want "credit" for it, you are a shit who has no real interest in doing something good in your line of work.

Only for Superhero flicks, as there usually is something after (at least as of late, because of the Avengers).

Only if I'm aware there's something after them. I don't think I've ever missed something like that.

Big summer movies and superhero movies are now sort of known to have teasers or backstory after the credits, but even then I leave because there are sites now dedicated to compiling after credits.

I respect the craft so I stay but I've only gone to the cinema once in the last 8 years. Myself and four seniors were the only ones left sitting half way through the credits. I only got up because the rest of my friends had gotten up and were waiting for me.

On a somewhat related note, I always watch all the credits of a game too. Even the super long ones (Vice City Stories comes to mind).

Sometimes if I expect something to happen (Marvel movies, for example) or when I hear something is after the credits (The Grey is the most recent example for me.) Otherwise, usually no.

I always stay after a Pixar movie, because I know they almost always have stuff.

Usually fanboys or a media website tells you about it before you see it.

Not usually, unless I've heard something about it. As for games, I do. It's a bit awkward. No matter what movie, I don't expect anything to come after it, but I can for games.

I always wait but I hate it because 9/10 times there is nothing extra at the end. However, when you do get an extra thing it is a good feeling.

If I get the heads-up that there is a reason to wait around, then yes, such as in the Marvel stuff as of late, but usually no. I leave as soon as I see the actors scroll up.

King's Speech? Nah. Avengers? Definitely.

I always stay for and read the credits of films that I liked.

I once fell asleep in the cinema. I sat at the front row on my own and dozed off during Pay It Forward. It was 11pm and when I woke, it was totally dark. Lucky for me they hadn't locked up yet.

As for the credits ...... I watch all the credits in every movie I watch, every time. I actually read them and look for something that might interest me, especially the location it may have been shot in and definitely the music credits. Sometimes they actually put effort into making the credits worth watching - especially Monty Python & the Holy Grail (and all the movies) and Feris Beuller (who probably kicked off modern credits with entertainment.

I leave when the credits start rolling. Some theatres have to wait until every last person has left to begin cleaning the theatre to prep it for the next showing. Even if there was 1 person, they have to wait for him or her to leave. They want to get started and finish the job as soon as they can. I think it's rude to hold them up.

I don't watch movies in theaters but when I do watch a movie 8/10 times I will watch, or least listen to the credits.

Never, unless I know there's something at the end, and even then, probably not. Even if I really like a film, I really don't like sitting still for hours on end in a dark room, and as soon as a film ends I have an overwhelming urge to just leave the room and stretch my legs. I actually find the seats in the cinema uncomfortable and unpleasant.

I generally know before watching the movie if there's something at the end or not. I work at a movie theatre, and if I don't put the movie together, then I ask whoever put the movie together if there was anything at the end. Most of the time, there's nothing at the end, but we're getting towards the season where movies start to put scenes at the end (Avengers, I'm looking at you).

I missed the real ending to The Grey because I left before the credits ended.

If it's a superhero movie or some other type of movie that seems like it might have a secret ending, I'd stay. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

Luckily, by tradition for subtitling films here, the translator's name comes up a few seconds after the last line of dialogue. So, when at the cinema, if credits start rolling but the translator's name hasn't popped up yet, I know to wait for an extra.

I have not seen that movie (I have no interest in doing so), but in response to the title of the thread, I always wait to the end. Partly because there are enough movies with stuff at the end to make it worth it, and because if the movie is good, I feel like the people who worked on it deserve my time. And I like to look through the cast to see who was in it, especially in the kinds of movies I watch (John Carter, for example, featured a lot of CGI aliens that had voices).

I always want to sit through the credits of a film I particularly enjoyed. Though only watching films with people who don't want to do that means I'm out of luck.

I watch the credits. I appreciate the time to think back on all I just experienced.
