Why do I always have to find X? Why can't X find me?
Do you like math?
It depends on the school of math...basic stuff I do enjoy, once you get to calculus my brain falls asleep.
Just go to my profile and look at my background! If anyone knows the formula I will send them a cookie!

Kind of a meaningless bump, but calculus II is pretty crazy. Linear approximations, integrals, sigma notations and shit. I can't imagine linear algebra being harder than this, and yet cal 2 is a recommended pre-requisite to that course... It's so frustrating when everyone around me has at least a slight understanding of what the hell the teacher's going on about while I'm just about ready to shoot myself. I was lazy last semester, though, so I'll at least try a bit harder and hopefully pass cal 2 with a higher grade than I did cal 1.
Calculus II is difficult because you have to be able to visualize the problem. Once you can visualize the problem though, solving is just a matter of making sure you don't make little mistakes. However, Linear Algebra is difficult because it bends your mind in weird ways. Try imagining a vector in 2d, then in 3d, then in 4d, then in 100d. Incredibly it all boils down to a box of numbers. It's a class that made me feel really dumb though because all you're really doing is the equivalent of adding, subtracting, and shifting for vectors instead of integers.
To answer your original post, I actually enjoyed math. As an engineering student, I preferred more concrete things like Calculus, which had more real-world applications. Linear Algebra, while having it's own uses, was my first real step into "pure" math. I "liked" it so much I had to take it twice. Anyway good luck to you. Okay, back to job hunting.
