Video game retail isn't the best. But the people I work with and the occasional cool customer keep me going. After all, it's only to get me through uni.
Do you like your job?
Yeah man. It's retail and I don't intend on being there forever, but I like peddling used books and I have great coworkers. It's not stressful, hours are pretty flexible and management leaves me alone. Good stuff. I also happen to love customer service. Works out alright.
My job has gotten a lot better over the years. I've been moved to better departments and all the assholes I worked for have quit or been fired/transferred, so it's a lot more enjoyable now. I can't say that I particularly enjoy stocking shelves at a grocery store, but having rang a register for over a year, I will gladly take the job I have now.
I used to like it, but I have some major problems with the higher ups (It's a privately owned business) and after dealing with all the shit for the past three years, I am finally done. It's unfortunate because video game retail can be kind of fun especially with all the cool customers I get to talk about video games with all day. Thankfully I have a job offer that will pay me almost twice as much as I'm getting paid now, so I think it might be time to move on.
I hate my job..... uhh well it's complicated. I used to hate my job with this fiery passion before when I was just a cashier but I changed positions in the summer. Now I like what I do as a job (I work in one of the offices now so I no longer have to serve clients) I just hate the organization I work for..... which would then kind of equal me hating my job. It gives me money though so I guess I can't complain that much.
Job can be stressful, and I am work-aholic to the point of it being a problem, but I love my job. Best job in the world.
I do not care much for my current job, but since it pays the bills and allows for me to purchase new games every month, then I will have to say I do like my job.
I work a really shitty tech support job were I'm underpaid and work pretty much every day of the week, just so that I can barely keep up with my student loans, the payments of which rival my parents mortgage...do I like my job? In a word...'no'.
