I've always listened to the full album...and preferred to have the full album if possible.  Most of my friends however, pirate individual songs...which gets on my nerves when they have songs from an album I know, but not everything.  Often times artists construct albums to have a finite flow and energy...but thats destroyed by only listening to individual tracks.

I chose A, but I wouldn't say that all the artists I listen to have no filler tracks.

I always listen to the full album. I still buy the physical copy (I feel like I'm the only one of my friends) so I listen to the whole thing usually in my car.

I do this a lot.  I'll download the highest quality version I can find (short of FLAC or other lossless formats....I don't have that kinda storage) and if I really like it, I'll get the CD for that near perfect sound.

Depends on the album. Some albums have fantastic tracks, but the rest is filler. Some albums have a real good flow to them so I listen all the way through, like Pinkerton by Weezer or This Is Happenning by LCD Soundsystem.

i can't skip from song to song--artist to artist. when i start a record, i'm setting myself up for a particular experience. i've gotta finish it before moving on.

Usually just a few of the tracks, but there is always the occasional album that really excels when you listen to the entire thing.

The poll is a little too specific, just to be clear I don't always listen to albums start to finish (who has the time) and I do listen to individual tracks often.  This stems from situations where say someone only has songs by Gorillaz that were on the radio.  Sorry there weren't options for combinations of A-D.

Full album first time. If I really like it, then I'll normally listen to the whole thing each time. Otherwise I'll just skip to my favorite songs.

Individual. Other then Scissor Sisters, Empire of the Sun and Weird Al I have yet to hear a single group or artist that has more then one or two song's that I actually want to listen to.

Somewhere between A and B. Sometimes some songs are no good, so I'll delete them and keep the majority of tracks. But the best kind of album is the one where every song is good.

Unfortunately I often don't listen to full albums even though I usually own them. However sometimes you find an album the can do absolutely no wrong and every track is gold.

A. Really bugs me knowing that certain acquaintances of mine buy full albums for the single. Not because it's a waste of money, but because they don't take the time to listen to what the artist put time and effort into making the album.

It depends. I use iTunes, so I usually only get music that I like, which means I usually don't purchase albums. But if there is enough music that I like on an album, I'll purchase it.

Get the full album.
Find songs I like, listen to those repeatedly.
Slowly branch into other tracks.

This is how I listen to pretty much every album I get

I used to listen to full albums and still do when it's a jazz ablum, but otherwise I cut out the bullshit and just listen to individual tracks most of the time.  There are exceptions, of course, such as Dark Side of the Moon and Quadrophenia, but those are few and far between these days.

It depends, some albums like early The Offspring i listen to the whole album. But with bands like The Prodigy i just pick out the good stuff. It's just so easy when you have spotify.

I get full albums because I HATE IT when my friends playing music at his house and I hear one song from an album and go "Hey, guy, put on [different song from same album]." But then he goes "I didn't get the whole album." FUCK I hate that.

But when listening it'll depend on the song/situation. If its on my ipod or driving, full albums. If I'm chilling with friends, mix it up with my favs from a bunch of albums.

Depends on the day. Sometimes, I'll listen to an album's songs out of order, but will eventually hit every song. Sometimes, I pick and choose. Sometimes, I listen to the whole damn thing.

I chose C. even though it's not entirely accurate. I use Napster's on demand service that allows me to pay a monthly fee and listen to all the songs I want/transfer them to an MP3 player. Then I create playlists of my favorite songs.

i find that listening to whole albums sounds terrible, plus youve got to have 10-20 things to play each song at once. so i usually just listen to one song at a time, but like everyone else i get in that mood where i want to here every track on reign in blood at once.

Man, have you ever tried to listen to one God Is An Astronaut song, and not continue? Fuckin' difficult.

Anyways, it depends on the genre really. Indie Rock/Post-Rock and Electronica requires full albums, but death metal and black metal and such can be taken in small doses and still be awesome.
