Usually headphones, sometimes speakers.

I haven't invested in gaming headphones because I live in a house, so no neighbors for me. If that were to change, I'd definitely look into quality headphones.

But for now, my 5.1 speakers fill my needs quite nicely.

I usually use my headphones for a lot of things.

Headphones. I can listen to whatever as loud as I want. I'm usually talking over VOIP and a headset is more convenient than a dedicated mic.

Speakers more often then not but sometimes I'll use headphones. So both.

I voted both because it depends on my mood. Usually it's headphones but sometimes I'll just use my speakers when I don't feel like being wired.

My computer is my TV, so 5.1 speakers.

I play most of my games on PC these days and there I use headphones.

I haven't even had speakers hooked up to my PC in close to 9 years, since I joined a clan for the original Call of Duty.

I have two DALI speakers and a headset that came with my HTC, so my answer is pretty obvious.

I have a kickass surround system connected to my PC and fantastic boss PC speakers.......... but I normally use headphones because I normally have Skype running talking shit with people when I'm on the PC so I never really end up using anything but my headset with mic.

We upgraded to a nice 5.1 set for the living room, it's as great for gaming as it is for watching movies.

I only use headphones when I'm talking to somebody over my head set.

I never found it more immersive personally to use head sets either. You do hear a bit more but it's usually something small that doesn't change my experience.

I use a set of Turtle Beach X12 Headphones they are indispensable.

Speakers, loud speakers, fuck everyone else around the house.

I use both, but tend to use my headphones more and more often. You can hear the more subtle audio much more clearly and you don't bother people around you anytime something explodes.

Headphones, always. Even if i lived alone in the middle of nowhere i would still use headphones all the time.

Headphones. I have nice headphones that sound good and are quite comfy. I have a set of Logitech speakers that I can use, but I seldom do.

Speakers mostly, due to the fact that whilst the headphones I have are very good, they are big and my room is quite hot and I have long, thick hair, so it usually ends up with me being too hot and taking them off.

Headphones for now since my laptop speakers are pretty terrible. I'm looking to get the harman kardon soundsticks iii, so that will probably change eventually.

I also jump in and out of voice chat ever few minutes, so switching would just be a hassle.

I worked strange hours and played games at 2am-11am hours so I used headphones. I've since moved and changed jobs but I still wear them out of habit.

I have nice speakers, so speakers.

I use a headset for voice chat. It only has one earpiece, so I have it set up so that only the voice comes through the headset and the rest of whatever still comes through the speakers. I can't imagine not being able to deal with the volumes of each independently without any hassle.

I use both depending on the situation. TV and music - more likely speakers. Games - more likely headphones.

Unless it's late at night, in which case I'll probably use headphones since I'm in an apartment building.

Sound is meant to fill a room, to travel though air, and headphones are the antithesis of that. So yeah speakers all night, all day.

Both. The sound on my headphones is busted, but the mic still works, so I just have all the sound come out of my computer speakers. I really need to get a new headset....

I have people around me so headphones because I listen to a lot of music, and since I can't be bothered to switch to speakers I use them for gaming too (they're some nice fucking headphones).

I've used headsets up until yesterday. I am a bitch about audio quality, I enjoy hearing everything I possibly can as clearly as I can, and I like turning my volume up enough that I block out all outside sound when I'm playing video games. Earlier in the week I ordered an Audio-Technica ATH M50S at the recommendation of a few users I saw in a thread a few weeks back to replace the Logitech G35 I had. These are... I'm not sure I'll ever go back to headsets. I'm completely spoiled on dedicated headphones now.
