So I was watching one of the new episodes of Wilfred where he becomes an office dog and that got me wondering does anyone have a dog at there place of work and if so what breed of dog you have.

We had one for the first year and change that I was here, which was a golden lab. Very poorly behaved. I have to imagine that being an office dog correlates with not being disciplined very well cause the owner is overprotective.

I don't know what kind of serious workplace would allow to have dogs in their offices.

It's one of those new age ideas you learn about in HR classes at school to create a better atmosphere. It sounds like it's much better in theory than in practice.

I love dogs, but this doesn't seem like a very good idea; a single allergic new hire could mean that old Lieutenant Barkers can no longer hang around the office - then what happens to him?

We have a dog at my office, it's been here pretty much daily ever since it was a puppy so it's very socialized and well behaved.

A sub-tenant in the office I work in has a very sweet black lab.

The dog is incredibly mellow, and sleeps most of the time, so she doesn't really get in anybody's way. But having her around seems to improve the mood of the place.

I did know one person that trained guide dogs as a side job, and if she were currently training a dog, she would bring it into the office every day. Not sure if that really counts though.
