I started posting on 4chan recently and I wanted to know if I was the only Whiskey Media guy who did. I know 4chan has a terrible rep with the internet community, but if you find the right boards with the right people you can actually have a decent discussion on there.
Does anyone here post on 4chan?
/b/ is largely responsible for the terrible reputation. I don't frequent it anymore, but the interest-specific boards can be quite civil.4chan has a terrible rep for good reason.
To answer the question, hell no. I'll peak in there time to time in a more voyeuristic fashion but that's as far as I'll go. When I was 13 I would of loved 4chan though.
fuck no.
the only other forums I post on are somethingawful, the questionable content forums, and onrpg.

Saying that /b/ is the only section where awful shit gets posted is being naive. It's less frequent in other sections but still omnipresent. It's still a largely adolescent user base. As an adult I feel no need to subject myself to it.
I used to for a long awhile, but then I realized that the community was terrible and could only get worse.
I don't see where I said /b/ is solely responsible. Largely. Of course you're not going to avoid the delinquent behaviour when you're right next door to it. I didn't imply anyone should be compelled to subject themselves to it either - I'm now in the same boat in that regard.@Matfei90 said:

Yeah, I lurk /b/ from time to time if I need a good laugh. There's a lot of funny stuff on that board, but every now and then....
A little bit, mostly when I'm bored. I tend to stick to /x/, /v/, and /a/ since I don't like the kiddie porn that gets posted on /b/.
i lurk around that part of the internet sometimes. Also the rules of the internet says that we cant talk about /b/, with good reason.
Absolutely. 4chan's a treasure trove of just about anything. The funny thing about /b/ is that it keeps the topical boards honest, by making those users despise /b/ users and encouraging them to post better content. Traditional games, comics and mecha are such joys to sift through.
I frequent /mu/, post fairly often. Also occasionally visit /v/ and /lit/. The trolling and meme spouting is a minority (well maybe not in /v/), and once you get past that there isn't many better places on the web to discuss specific things.
I... have been there a couple of times. Science and Mathematics board is not so bad. I see hilarious stuff from /b/ once it gets filtered by the other parts of the Internet so I don't have to experience all those monstrosities since chances that I come across an epic thread are slim, anyway.
