If you had a case of warm beer and is not patient to put it in a refrigerator for an hour. Would you drink it warm or with ice?

Honestly, I would never be in that situation since warm beer tastes like piss and I only really like beer when it's ice cold. I would rather not drink it then drink it warm. So I picked ice in your above situation.

You don't drink beer warm or with ice. You drink it chilled in a cold glass.

Yeah, neither.  I pay good money for good beer, and wouldn't dream of drinking it warm or watered down with ice.  Extremely cold beer poured into a chilled pint glass is the only way to go.

Beer is gross in general, but with ice would be better.

I hear some bars in England serve warm beer. Can anyone confirm/deny that?
I personally can't stand warm beer. I prefer refrigerated, but I'll put ice in it as a last resort.

No. No. No.  This is not a situation I wish to place myself in.  I guess I'd drink it warm if I had to... or maybe chug with ice before the ice melts and waters it down.

In high school you couldn't really keep your beer in the fridge because your parents would find it. You had to keep it hidden in your room. It would always be room temperature. As a result I'd take a warm IPA over a cold lager any day.

This. This weird idea of British people drinking warm lager is a myth. It goes in the fridge. Ice in beer is also pretty barbaric.

Ale can be consumed at room temperature, however.

Neither. If you need your beer that fast you should have thought ahead. Though that also points to you wanting the beer to get drunk, not to enjoy, so it shouldn't matter in that situation.

I always like to drink my beer at the coldest point before freezing, if I am going to be having beer, i will throw a couple from the fridge into the freezer an hour or 2 ahead.

Ice cold beer is great out of my beer stein.

You drink it as cold as the devil's heart, and NEVER drink it warm, I'm guessing that warm beer is worse than piss.

I drank some warm beer served in Kiel, Germany one time. It was during the Kiel week festival and was served by a street vendor. It wasn't bad. I also had a buddy pull out a beer from the back of his truck and drink it. It was hot that day too, gross.

U.S. domestic beer I drink cold or not at all.

@Commando: When I visited England, I consumed beers of all sorts at pubs, where they ostensibly can keep it at whatever temperature they want.  While it wasn't as cold as Americans drink it,  I only had beer I'd call 'warm' once, and it was still below room temperature, at a brewery in York.

Why would I water down my beer with ice? I'd much rather drink warm beer than watered down beer. But I'd also much rather do the logical thing and have it chilled.

If you want bear right away and and it's warm, but you have ice, just take a small bucket/pitcher, drop the ice in, put in water and some salt. Put the beer in, it'll be cold in no time.

Where I'm from in the UK these are the rules I've learnt:

British Ale : Room temp, it's not fizzy and can be used in a bet (e.g. quickest person to finish a pint in one go AKA "down in one"). Also there are lots of small breweries with strange names for their beer and the pubs themselves, a lot of history too, if you're visiting the UK look up CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) and you'll find lots of Independent brewers and pubs. I spent an evening in a pub called "The Frog and Parrot" in Sheffield, you could see the brewery in the basement through  a window in the floor, and they sold beer at 13.5% abv (alcohol by volume). If you drank three of those you got a certificate to mark that achievement, although it was only sold in thirds of a pint.

Stout : (Murphys or Guiness) I prefer them fully chilled, but the original versions are served a bit colder than room temp.

Lager : Cold, it's disgusting warm and I don't like it anyway since it gives me a headache. Pretty useless for the "down in one" thing, it's too fizzy. In the UK, Stella Artois is considered a consistent brand, but colloquially it's called "wife beater" so that's not so great.

Cider : Scrumpy needs to be room temperature and is flat (i.e. not fizzy), processed cider is sometimes better chilled maybe even with ice cubes. Can often be stronger than beer or lager at around 6% abv.

White Wine : definitely cold or chilled

Red Wine : Room temperature

Spirits are too complicated since they end up being mixed with something else usually.

Oh yeah, and ice waters your drink down so a fridge is better I think. Here ends my wannabe Wikipedia article.

Really depends on the beer. Some beer tastes good warm, some doesn't. I drink warm beer if I run out of cold beer and it's fine.

Depends on the beer, although I'd never "ice" a beer.
I'd stick it in the freezer and wait 20 mins before diluting it with ice. If it's an ale or stout.. it's actually better in some cases warm. (I prefer Sam Adams warm to cold)

I don't drink any beer with ice.  I'll drink it cold from the fridge, but never put ice in it.  That's just gross.

Beyond that, it depends on what type of "beer" it is.  If it's a domestic draft, then it's cold.  If it's Guinness, then I'll let that fucker sit until it's room temp.  I hate that America puts their Guinness out cold.  It's such an injustice.

I don't even drink beer (or any alcohol for that matter), but the thought of a warm drink is disgusting. I voted for "drink it with ice."

Warm beer is undrinkable. I'd probably opt to stick it in the freezer for half an hour, but ice may suffice.

If I put ice in beer my dad would clip me on the ear.

I'd rather drink it warm.

But that could be coz it's winter and  it's bloody cold.

If you've got ice, why not chill the beer?  Ice doesn't belong in beer.  You can get away with it in wine, but not in beer.  If there is no way to cool it even though you apparently have access to ice, I'd say warm (room temp) and deal with it as best that way.
