I don't really use the Movie Maker, but is it an error that just crashes the program, or an error that pops up in a box?

First off, a google search of "image imports crash movie maker" shows that you aren't the only one: http://www.vistax64.com/vista-music-pictures-video/8834-windows-movie-maker-crash.html

That offers no solutions though, so I dig deeper.

After going through one or two pages of google results, nobody seems to have an answer. That's very annoying. I suggest e-mailing Microsoft.

I think I had a similar problem. I think I fixed it by disabling some program or updating drivers or something like that.
