Is anybody else having this issue? Every single time I try to close a tab that has youtube opened on it, everything just freezes. Sometimes it just freezes and I have to stop the unresposive browser, and other times it tells me.

"The following plug-in is unresponsive: Shockwave Flash. Would you like to stop it?"

I've tried re-installing everything, yes.

I've been getting a shitload of those lately. It's not linked with the Youtube stuff for me, though. Haven't actually been able to find a common denominator.

It happens to me randomly too. But it's when I close a youtube tab 99% of the time.

That's been happening to me quite often in the past few months.

Same thing is happening to me. Apparently it's some sort of bug that happens with the new YouTube. I think if you go to youtube.com/html5 and get into that beta to watch vids using HTML5, it helps, but right now we just gotta wait for an update.

It's a known problem acknowledged by Chrome support people. Supposedly, they're working on it.

It has to do with the Shockwave plugin. It happened to me in the past.

Yeah, it's Shockwave, and it's been happening to me so often that my 70/30 Chrome/Firefox split is now 20/80.

Yep happened to me the other day. My solution is this if it freezes open up the task manager and go to "processes" and close the chrome process that is using the most memory. If you pick the right one you should be able to shut down the shockwave plugin without having to exit the entire browser.

It's a known bug, they're working on it.
I just go to the uploaders channel after I watched a video, change the tab and THEN close it when it's not in focus. Doesn't crash if you do it like that

Come back to Firefox, less RAM usage and better add-ons. >:) Then again not sure why I even care about RAM usage I'm never going to hit RAM limits when just browsing the net.

Shame Firefox still doesn't have PDF support, WTF, Mozilla?! (or an official full screen mode for OS X Lion, sigh)

Yeah, glad that I'm not the only one experiencing this. Happens very often and it's very annoying.

I've been having similar problems as well, but mine happens when I've opened many videos on different tabs.
