Favourite Band?

So.... what is everyones favourite band(s)?

Mine is Opeth, their style is (what I would call) Extreme Progressive Metal, and I would recommend them to anyone that likes any kind of metal.

Katatonia are also one of my favourites. They used to play Death/Doom, but now it's more Depressive Rock.

What about you? What is your favourite band, and why?

It's a tie between Pink Floyd and Camel at the momen, they both make some awesome progressive rock.

Im a big fan of the verve, and snow patrol, although nothing can compare to Queen.

Probably Radiohead.

Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are my two favorite bands of all time.

Led Zeppelin for the band's overwhelming talent. Jimmy Page's insane guitar skills, John Bonham's powerful drumming chops, John Paul Jone's multitalented Bass, Keyboard, and banjo abilities, and Robert Plant's godly vocals. The blend is good old classic rock, fun to listen to.

Pink Floyd are just one of the most creative and incredible bands that ever formed. 3 of the most amazing albums ever made are made by Pink Floyd: A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall. They fall into the range of Prog Rock, and great classic rock. And another one of my favorite guitarists, David Gilmour, plays for Pink Floyd. He plays with a mellow tone, yet with that mellow playing, he also plays with powerful emotion. The guy is a true guitar god.

But don't take my word for it, you have to really listen to these bands to understand what I mean.

Opeth and Katatonia are amazing. I like the old In Flames stuff (The Jester Race, Whoracle).

The Who is easily my favorite band. Huge influence on me musically.

In Flames, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Metallica are a few of my collection of favorite bands

Rapture. They are from Finland and sound similar to Katatonia's first album but better.

Probably the eight most played in my last.fm profile, mabye switch inflames for opeth though.

The Beatles. I'm old school.

But my favourite band of recent times is Foo Fighters.

Megadeth and Alice In Chains. I can listen to them for weeks without getting tired of them.

It's probably a tie between Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and Garbage.  Yes, I know the latter doesn't fit my trend.  Leave me alone.

Faith no More, Kyuss, Red hot chili peppers hard for me to say who my favorite band is, But those are my top 3.

Korn

Man I could list a billion bands... I really like progressive stuff like Rush, Pink Floyd, Yes. A lot of punk, particularly the Ramones, Sham 69, Dead Kennedys, the Damned. Hip Hop is awesome, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Beastie Boys, NWA. I also like rock from the 50's like Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon, Chuck Berry. Stevie Wonder is a hero of mine. The man can play piano and the drums like a badass and he's blind.

It's hard to pick one band as my favorite but I'd say Muse.

Just bands, or do solo acts count? If it's only bands, then Radiohead, Sigur Rös, DMB, The Mothers of Invention and spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio.

I like so many bands but as an overall favorite I have to choose Metallica.

My current favorite band is Skeletonwitch.
