FFVI's Terra Branford Wears White Panties

So, you may not realize this, but we do cover a certain set of games over at Anime Vice-- mostly JRPGs (read: Final Fantasy), and a few others of interest to our readers (eroge being developed into mainstream manga/anime, anything really amusing like Doki Doki Shinpan Majo).

So when I come upon something like this, or this, I'll frequently post it, even if it's not technically anime or manga related. Actually, I'll post just about anything that I think is of interest to our audience, which usually involves a lot of Japanese popular culture-- weird commercials, crazy merchandise, weird trends, etc.

I already know how the first hack of that game will turn out.

It's not entirely surprising to see panties modeled on a female character. Now if she doesn't wear panties, that's when things get weird.

Weltal: I dunno, Final Fantasy isn't known for being especially fanservice-y on a panties level, generally speaking. Comparatively, their character designs trend more towards the conservative. For every FFX Riku and FFXII Fran there's the cleavage-y but otherwise way over-covered FFX Lulu, conservative FFXII Ashe. FFVII had Tifa (semi-skimpy) and Aeris (not remotely skimpy), VIII didn't have any particularly scantily-clad characters at all.

That and the fact that Terra isn't one of the more skimpily-dressed Final Fantasy females made it a little surprising to me personally ^_^

But FF13 looks like rubbish, it's nothing but uncanny valley cutscenes and bogus "stylish action" combat.... epic phail

Maybe the FF series hasn't always been about panties, but I remember another Square game that allowed giddy pedos to gaze at a 13 year olds pair of white panties and ribbon.

I'm with you, I never would have guessed she would be a white panties kind of girl. A bit disappointing.
