I uploaded this video of me playing a song that i wrote a while back, you may enjoy it, you may not
For the folks into metal...
Yeah I dig it, son. Would love to hear what it would sound like with a real drummer. Nice song structure over all, pretty dynamic, your riffs flow pretty well and work up to a nice impending crescendo. Lot's of potential for some seriously malignant lyrics.
And I just made this post yesterday http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195060.
Not totally a style I like, but I can appreciate the shred.
Here's a piece that me and my cousin wrote: http://www.myspace.com/embracethevillain
Really nice dude! I also love those drums!
Now, just put some good, deep death metal vocals in there, and that's a pretty good death metal band.
Thats some well-played Death Metal, sonny!
I've played in a band as well, ages ago it seems.
Death metal with a touch of black into it.
We had a God-awful generic name... Amethyst.
Just two demos and a handful of gigs, that's it.
We disbanded in 2002.
I never played in a band since.
Nice guitar work, drums are all over the place though, Sounds pretty good for death metal too, The drums sound a little bit like Slipknot, but it's just kick pedal, You got to add some snare and symbols to it,but the guitar is awesome.

the drums are a little crazy and all over the place because when i did my first demo when i was 15 i had to use the pads on my digi recorder. it was restrictive and very difficutl to use so as soon as i got a drum machine on my laptop i went a little crazy because i could do anything i wanted to on there. thanks for the kind words though
@guiseppe: i'll be doing another video for another song later on, bit more poppy than that one but hey
the mix wasn't so great. kick drum was pretty overwhelming.
seemed like you were doing some fairly interesting things with the drums, though. not just boring straight 16ths on the kick or anything snoozeville like that.
as a composition, it's definitely not bad. you seem good at guitar as well. but it takes a lot to impress me in the realm of death metal (so take my criticism with a grain of salt). there hasn't been much progress in the genre since like 1993 and this song kinda just sounded like one of Cannibal Corpse's more technical tracks to me. i don't think the song has enough going for it as an instrumental to not have vocals, either.
so yeah, my opinion: totally solid, but kind of unimpressive...but my standards are stupid high.
I actually listened to the whole thing even though I absolutely hate death metal. The drums were probably humanly impossible, but the guitar wasn't bad. Nice work.
Not bad at all. Your playing is nice and clean. I prefer metal that's a bit more rough around the edges, but your song flows well and seems to be nailing the style you're going for.
I have to agree with some others about the drums being a bit too crazy. They're fine later on in the song, but at the beginning, they don't seem to have anything to do with what you're playing on the guitar. They can still be fast, but perhaps they need to be dialed in to the rhythms you're playing on the guitar.
