Four day school week across America?

Not exactly 2-3 months, but it could be shorter. I wish they would categorize kids into different time schedules for school. I mean like, if some people can work quicker, and are more dedicated, they finish school earlier (i.e. they would finish a school year early). Hence, this would make the underachievers try harder."

Are things getting this bad that they're thinking about cutting basic essential national programs? The US education wasn't exactly the best in the world to begin with and I know it sounds awesome, woot a 4 day week, but in real terms you're gonna get less and possibly even more dumbed down education. This won't be good for the upcoming generations.

Anyways, isn't the idea supposed to be 4 days of school, 10 hours per day? I thought they wanted to extend the hours to have it all balance out. Correct me if I'm wrong.
