So I've never read the Watchmen and I definitely plan to now that the movie is coming out.  But I saw the free chapter 1 "audio graphic novel" thingy they have for free on itunes and watched.

I really liked it and the same guy doing all the voices didn't bother me because I felt like I was watching an audiobook (which usually doesn't have multiple voices).  But one thing kept bugging me.

If anyone has seen this and has read the graphic novel, is this leaving anything out or is it everything up to where it stopped?  Also, did it stop at the end of the first issue or just end somewhere in the middle of one?  Just wondering cause I liked "reading" in this format and I hate finding out that I got a condensed version of Watchmen.

Wait, wait, wait. Is it just audio? That completely destroys the purpose of comics. Buy the book instead!

Or is it still panels with audio?

No its the art from the original graphic novel, but the things that move are given movement in a panel.  Not full animation, like paper pieces moving.  The speech bubbles also fill in as the vo is saying the lines.

The audio books stop at the end of each issue, there will be 12 in all.

Don't watch this over reading the comic. The comic has interstitial sections after each chapter that are NOT in this rendition. That stuff gives a lot of incite and perspective into the world. You will not be getting the full experience.

You are not getting the full Watchmen experience if you just watch these.

I watched it and the graphic novel is much better. The one guy doing all the voices (even the womens) just put me off a lot. Anyone interested should just go out and get the graphic novel because the motion comics don't do the source material justice.

Just buy the graphic novel. It's just better.
