Have you ever had those thoughts breeze through the forefront of your mind that was thinking you were playing a game, but you weren't?

The most vivid memory of such an occurrence to me was when I was walking and found a small field with grass up to my waist. I was about to use it as a shortcut but had t stop myself before I entered it because I didn't have a Pokemon and I wouldn't be able to fight off the wild Pokemon in the tall grass.

Took me a minute to remember that I wasn't playing Pokemon anymore.

I never believe when anyone says they legitimately have thoughts like that. I play a lot of games, but come on. The furthest I get is seeing patterns in things.

There was that time I found an underwater utopia and had to stop myself after I kept shooting all of the horribly deformed psychos that had taken it over because I thought I was playing Bioshock.

One time I was playing Grand Theft Auto and then I stole cars and murdered hookers but it wasn't a game now it was real and so were the consequences.

When I was playing through Fallout 3 I got into the habit of saving every ten minutes. Eventually I started getting thoughts of "I should save here". I stopped playing Fallout 3 for a while.

This is going to sound really bizarre, but every so often if I'm driving somewhere after playing a game for a long time, I'll sometimes try and check the map on my HUD. Of course I sadly don't have a HUD. Yet.

I see shit I want to climb all the time like in Assassin's Creed. Then I remember I can't reload a save if I die.

Yeah, playing Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Going 90 on a shitty road on my Toyota Camry and trying to get "close hits" or whatever there was in that game wasn't a good idea lol.

I later sold the game and rarely speed now. But I must say it was a great game.

Play enough Tetris and you start seeing Tetris blocks anywhere that a pattern could possibly emerge, like the tile floor in a restroom.

I've looked up at the sky and thought "nice skybox" a few times, but that's it.

After playing about 10 hours of the Twisted Metal Demo, I saw a helicopter in the sky and though "I could totally hit that with a chansaw".

A fairly long time ago, I'd bought the Splinter Cell trilogy box and during the span of one week played through all of them. This pretty much entailed me doing nothing but playing Splinter Cell after school. The following weekend, I was at a thing with some friends, getting a bit drunk. When I started walking into town, while the sun was setting and I walked into the shadows of some trees and things got drastically darker, I instinctively wanted to hit the 'Z' button to change vision mode.

When I was playing a lot of Burnout Paradise I started seeing big ass ramps everywhere I drove.

When climbing on things at work, I sometimes think I'm a bit like Nathan Drake climbing around, or Ezio. When I run or jog it's sometimes fun to do a bit of an exaggerated head bobble. Other than that I do tend to speed when I drive, similar to my driving habits in GTA and Saint's Row.

The worst one for me was when I found myself looking around a room and thinking how amazingly crisp the resolution was and how nice the graphics were. Then I realized it was real life.

When I drive I now hear voices in my head telling me to hit said big ass ramps.

Also it sucks cause every time I die in real life I think I'm going to lose all my souls, but then I remember I'm not playing Dark Souls anymore.

Nothing in real life, but sometimes I have an inventory screen in dreams.
