I think having a level for my profile and being able to earn XP is pure genius and actually kind of educational. It makes people, at least this dude, spend way more time on this site than they normally would. I wonder if Giant Bomb charges more for advertisement for that reason or if it really makes a difference on how many people log in everyday and stick around for a while. Anyways, at least I now know the launch titles of the Atari 2600, the fact that the Atari 2600 is a second generation video game system, and that there is a documentary called The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. Oh, and don't forget that South Park made a parody episode of that documentary called More Crap. I always wondered what that episode was making fun of.

Yeah, the quests are pretty fun, but for somebody like me who wasn't alive when the Atari 2600 launched, a lot of the quests are just a little too obscure for my liking. Worse though are the ones where the answers are obscure GiantBomb jokes that you would only know if you listened to a specific BombCast from a year ago.
