There's plenty of post-apocalyptic movies and plenty of movies where a nuclear war almost happens, but are there any movies about the nuclear apocalypse and if so name some good ones.
The Road is very good, not quite as amazing as the book but still very good. It doesn't focus on the Apocalypse itself but on the everyday survival of a father and son as they walk the road through a destroyed america,a very somber movie about the father son relationship, very moving. It did not get a very wide release in theaters, but is coming to DVD on may 25th,
@RTSlord: It was a little over 2 hours which I don't think is all that bad. I was surprised to see that there was a made-for-TV version that aired in 2000. That one ran for 195 minutes. But, I'm of course talking about the 1959 version with Gregory Peck.
@kishan6: It seems they made two films.
And, I forgot to add A Boy and His Dog, although that more of a post-nuclear apocalypse movie and it's a fantasy film. By that I mean it has a talking dog in it.
i mean the 1959 version too. and by "it went on forever" it seemed like there were plenty of points where it couldve ended or you would think it would end, but it just kept going.
