Considering the number of users we have, and the amount of which are barely active, I could see the potential for many goodbyes from people, and allowing them in the forums could get out of hand. I didn't say that, I didn't mean that, and I absolutely would not approve of that.But if a lesser known user did post a goodbye thread, I could easily see it derailed with comments like "I don't know who you are so I don't care" or "good riddance" or the like. Perhaps I'm not giving the community enough credit, but it seems like an accurate prediction based on what I've seen in this thread as well as others."
