Green Day or The Offspring

2 of my favorite punk rock bands. Which one is your favorite?

Personally I like The Offspring more. While their newest album isn't great, their old albums are badass! The Kids Aren't Alright is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Most people in my class like Green Day more, most of them hadn't even heard about The Offspring which I thought was weird.

neither because they are both sellout pop punk pussies. 

MB and Hamz say they're locking these types of threads now, so don't take it personally if they lock this.

Offspring is much better

Insomniac is one of the best albums of the nineties.  Conspiracy of One is one of the best albums of the 2000s.

Overall, I prefer the Offspring, but there are some Greenday songs I like more than any song I've heard from TO.

Green Day, though The Offspring do have some classics.

I am still a huge Green Day fan, I have been for a very long time and I love their new album, Ive never really listened to the Offspring

Im also waiting for the new Green Day songs to come to Rock Band, Ive wanted Green Day songs for awhile now

Green Day because the Offspring sucks.

Sadness, I had tickets to an Offspring concert recently, but i came down with the sickness, and the guy i gave the ticket to lost it on the bus. 

I really like alot of both of the bands old albums. I have to say greenday though. Longview is one of my favorite all time songs.

Well I really liked Green Day back in the day, but they're really full of themselves now, and I'm afraid they're gonna become the next U2. So I can't make myself choose them, even though I enjoyed their old music more than I did The Offspring.

Green Day, only because they once made 1 good album and Offspring has never made a good album. (IMO obviously).  Both should now be taken out back and shot these days.

I'm more of an Offspring person my self i was never really into Green Day.

If i have to choose i prefer the old Green Day stuff, but if your into punkrock and your to favorites are Green Day and The Offspring it sounds like your living in the paste dude!

The Offspring definitly

Green day. I'm actually really enjoying there new album.

Both bands are pretty good back in the day. Offspring was classic in the 90's and Green Day has been all over the place (Dookie was good, American Idiot too). I am not a big fan of either, ultimately.

well one of these bands still rocks and one got killed by the radio when they played American Idiot 24/7 that you hated every song by the end of it

Not trying to be a dick but those are pop punk bands. Not that I'm entirely against that. Just mostly against it. Also, total sellouts. So I won't take any of the messages in the songs seriously but some of it's fun to listen to anyways. Between the two I'd have to go with green day tho I think.

I like Offspring, but comparing them career of Green Day, they're not even close. I would say that early Offspring far outshines early Green Day, but the the fact that Green Day consistently matured their sound and approach and have definable moments as a band. Dookie, Insomniac, Warning and American Idiot are all amazing, fully realized albums.

The fact that the Offspring is currently winning this poll kinda actually makes me angry. Like it doesn't matter...but dudes. Seriously.

The only good punk nowadays to me is folk-punk. I absolutely love it.
