Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince delay fury

I don't know if a lot of you guys know, but the sixth Harry Potter film was just delayed until summer '09. The movie is already done so you wonder why they would do this. Apparently Warner Bros. isn't making enough money *cough* Dark Knight *cough*. What infuriates me about this is that they "don't have a blockbuster for next summer" so they have to sacrifice letting a movie slip because they don't think it would make as much money as it would as a summer movie. If anyone else feels kind of pissed you are completely open to discuss.

Story

it will likely be back on sched they've all ways released harry potter near xmas and its sort of a tradition.

i heard it was replaced by "Twilight" for that weekend.
i don't really care cause ill see it on DVD anyway

 So damn apathetic about this.

I haven't cared enough to read the book, so I probably wouldn't have watched the movie anyway.

im dissapointed  but oh well at least its not being stopped. 

I watched the first three movies, but that was a long time ago....

I just can't get over the Oscar scott card bashing JK.Rowling thing, that was just too hilarious and true

lol the last interesting movie of the year has now been pushed back.
Well, interesting in my opinion, to see how it pans out.

Damn I have to wait slightly longer for an average fantasy movie.

Oh well, they were going downhill since "Prisoner of Azkaban" anyway. If only Terry Gilliam was chosen to direct Harry Potter...

I just don't care about those movies.

I read that they did it because there was a big open weekend in the summer where they'd get the most money off of release.  They said that the movie could have been released in November, but they want that summer spot.  Kind of annoying, isn't it?

some one  from the cast was stabed and died  i think they needed to put it back to find some one to carry on his part  i dont know the details of it all

so everything is done its finished completely and there not bothering to put it out intill probaly all interest has gone.....thats the stupidist thing ive ever hered

They've kinda alternated the whole Xmas/July thing for the past few films, so I don't really care.  I read all 7 books and I think they were great (her adding stuff after the final book came out was bullshit, but whatever).  The movies are nice and all, but if you read the book you really nitpick them a lot.

No they haven't. The second one came out a year after the first one. After that, though, the movies have been one and a half years apart. This is the first movie to come out two years after the last one."

I dont mind so much. I've read the book and they're always much better than the films. Its a shame I'll have to wait a bit longer to stare at Emma Watson on the big screen though.

With them making the last book into 2 movies this series is stretching itself out way too long, all the people who were fans 8 or 9 years ago probably don't feel like waiting another 3-4 years for the rest of the movies.

3 out of 5 releases have been around xmas/thanksgiving thus an average thus...a tradition.
This release will make for a 50/50 split between average of thanksgiving release and summer release, if they had released it it would be 4/2 for near thanksgiving release therefor establishing the tradition even more but its not they are pushing it back.
