I don't know if a lot of you guys know, but the sixth Harry Potter film was just delayed until summer '09. The movie is already done so you wonder why they would do this. Apparently Warner Bros. isn't making enough money *cough* Dark Knight *cough*. What infuriates me about this is that they "don't have a blockbuster for next summer" so they have to sacrifice letting a movie slip because they don't think it would make as much money as it would as a summer movie. If anyone else feels kind of pissed you are completely open to discuss.
Story
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince delay fury
it will likely be back on sched they've all ways released harry potter near xmas and its sort of a tradition.
"i heard it was replaced by "Twilight" for that weekend.yeah I think thats whats going on...anyway I am kinda done with harry potter, the longer they push it back, the lesser the chance that I will actually watch it.
i don't really care cause ill see it on DVD anyway"
lol the last interesting movie of the year has now been pushed back.
Well, interesting in my opinion, to see how it pans out.
some one from the cast was stabed and died i think they needed to put it back to find some one to carry on his part i dont know the details of it all
"some one from the cast was stabed and died i think they needed to put it back to find some one to carry on his part i dont know the details of it all"The movie is done. Everything has been finished. I don't know anything about a stabbing, but I know that Warner will be sitting on a movie for an entire year.
so everything is done its finished completely and there not bothering to put it out intill probaly all interest has gone.....thats the stupidist thing ive ever hered
"some one from the cast was stabed and died i think they needed to put it back to find some one to carry on his part i dont know the details of it all"The movie was has been done for awhile, and that stabbing only occurred like a month ago. It is stupid because they want more money, it is stupid because you have to wait 7 for months to watch it.
But it doesn't bother me, because I never like the movies or books.
"some one from the cast was stabed and died i think they needed to put it back to find some one to carry on his part i dont know the details of it all"his part is like 10 seconds long.
They've kinda alternated the whole Xmas/July thing for the past few films, so I don't really care. I read all 7 books and I think they were great (her adding stuff after the final book came out was bullshit, but whatever). The movies are nice and all, but if you read the book you really nitpick them a lot.

"it will likely be back on sched they've all ways released harry potter near xmas and its sort of a tradition."No they haven't. The second one came out a year after the first one. After that, though, the movies have been one and a half years apart. This is the first movie to come out two years after the last one.

Harry potter 2 November 15th 2002
Harry potter 3 june 4th 2004
harry potter 4 november 18th 2005
Harry ptter 5 july 11th 2007
3 out of 5 releases have been around xmas/thanksgiving thus an average thus...a tradition.
This release will make for a 50/50 split between average of thanksgiving release and summer release, if they had released it it would be 4/2 for near thanksgiving release therefor establishing the tradition even more but its not they are pushing it back.
"AndrewGaspar said:That doesn't make it a tradition. That's 60%. =P If you had turkey on Christmas 60% of the time, would you call it a tradition? I think not. ;-P"WilliamRLBaker said:Harry potter 1 november 16th 2001"it will likely be back on sched they've all ways released harry potter near xmas and its sort of a tradition."No they haven't.
