I have been a fan for about 7-8 years and the last real thing I heard about the site is that one of them had a kid and it might cut into the time they have for the site. Then, long stretches of nothing and a Christmas toon with a weCan anyone shed light on this situation ? I certanly hope the site is not dead, or worse......they are dead!( thats the last case scenario btw).
Home star runner, what has happened to it?
Telltale did a season of Strong Bad adventure games, and Strong Bad was in Poker Night at the Inventory...
I really don't think a mass loss of interest is to blame. Rather, it's like the guys said, real life intervened. It's a damn shame, too. I only discovered them recently, having become a fan after playing Poker Night at the Inventory.
Nothing lasts forever, specially internet things and atoms. It was super fun while it lasted, but yes, life happens sometimes. Memories are forever.
I gotta stop writing in quasi-meaningful sentences.
They still make stuff, but way less frequently. Maybe 3 sbemails a year. I think one of them is writing a script for some animated movie.
Also, the recent sbemails have been great (the indie vs. independent, and the videographer one come to mind.)
If you haven't played the Telltale adventure game yet, you definitely should. It's often on sale on their website or on Steam. Other than that though, yeah.. the creators just had other things to do. At least it stopped before becoming completely terrible, like most TV shows do.
They did a bunch of new stuff on their Youtube account. But really Homestarrunner was around longer then a lot of tv shows. You could tell they were starting to run out of ideas. I think they the brothers Chaps themselves were getting tired of it. It had a good run. But it was time.
watch where you're throwing those apostrophesThey've slowed down a lot, pretty much. I can't remember the last time they did a sbemail. The creators probably have kids n' stuff nowadays.
I never got into Homestar Runner. I heard about it fairly late I guess when I saw some Strong Bad cartoons on the web. By then, I was much more into House of Cosby.
