How often do you reformat your computer?

Today i just really feel like reformatting my computer. I simply have way too much crap on this thing (I know what you're thinking). Sadly before I reformat I've got to back up all my music and movies and that'll easily take a couple hours.

Never. I would never want to get rid of this stuff. I was devastated when my old Seagate died inexplicably, along with its backup. One of the things that scares me about a new computer is losing all of my precious accumulated awesome stuff :-(

I have everything as far as files go on my external Hard drive, but program-wise I just dont wanna reinstall all itunes, firefox, bittorrent, a media converter, etc.

The last time I did it was about 3 months ago and that was after having the computer for about 2yrs....

Once every few years - I just did a few weeks ago

Never, I don't usually keep large files permanently and I have a program that auto defrags.

Once every couple of years. I keep all the good stuff on a separate harddrive from the OS so never lost anything.

Once every year or two.  I keep my system pretty clean and well defragmented, so unless something goes terribly wrong I normally don't need to do it often.

Not often...

not often.  Typically Ill just uninstall stuff.  I look at porn on an older computer.

Ill probably do it in 2 years if it gets bad.

Never, I like my stuff and don't want to spend the time and money backing up all my files. I do however, defragment my hard drive and delete unneccessary items whenever I feel I need to.

I do it sometimes. It makes my PC run a lot faster.

It used to be a frequent ritual. Nowadays with things like Firefox and Bittorrent I can limit the damage from exposure to the seedy underbelly of the Internet.  Haven't reformated in over a year.

When I build another one or do a major upgrade replacing the motherboard.

PC = Never.
Mac = Twice a year.

I'm real lazy, and I would end up screwing my computer up so no.

Whenever it screws up or i fell it needs to be formatted.
