So with September coming soon, paying tuition means that I will be pressed for some cash, so I am faced with the difficult (first world) problem of deciding on how I will spend my gaming budget. My gaming budget is ~$70 every 2-4 months.

Edit:

Thanks again for all the input .

One part of my heart really wants to buy Deux Ex HR (was a fan of the original) the other part feels I should really support the website I love.
I've been thinking about what are some options I could do.

One option is I could wait until Big Live Live Show to decide,  by then I would have seen the Quick Look and most of the reviews for Deux Ex, and as well the GB community's opinions
While to be honest, the only subscription feature I'd be getting is the T-shirt (which cost $10 extra to ship to Canada), and Happy Hour, however I really show my support for the site.
Therefore, waiting till the Big Live Live Show would also give me the opportunity to hear about new subscription plans.
However, I think Deux Ex on steam may go up in price after its release (Preorder is -10% off, then its regular price when it comes out? Does anyone know?)

A second option is to get Whiskey Media  Membership and wait until Deux Ex goes on sale (as it inevitably will.)

Man I think I'm just over-complicating this!

Any other feedback is much appreciated!

Whiskey Media Membership; it always pays to support awesome websites! Not to mention the Happy Hours will last you longer than Deus Ex.

I'd go for the Whiskey subscription but they don't really have anything sub-worthy to offer.. just t shirts and silly video content
Dead Island, mark my words, is gonna be a fucking trainwreck

Deus Ex HR is looking to be quite the unique retro cyberpunk experience!

With such a budget, why would you buy games new? You could get 3 excellent games for the price of one as long as you buy them after 3 months. Dead Space 2, Dirt 3 and Uncharted 2, just to name some examples.

Man, aren't there some older games you could get or an option for none of the above? Honestly, I would wait or buy something other than games at this point in time. I'm still unconvinced that Deus Ex is the amazing game that reviewers are saying it is. I've been reading reviews and the scores seem a bit high for what the reviews say sometimes. Just my opinion. I may end up getting it if I'm proved wrong, but as of now I say save your money.

While it's all well and good to support a site you love, I would say that should come out of your 'extra' or miscellaneous budget, not your gaming one. Between the two games I'd say Deux Ex is clearly the better choice unless you've played the first and hated it. As for Dead Island as an unabashed fan of killing zombies, I really think this one is only on people's radar because of that, admittedly awesome trailer. Taking into consideration the game is absolutely nothing like that trailer and sounds basically like Dead Rising 2 with some RPG elements, I'd skip for now. If you're really set on playing it, it'll probably be $20 by Christmas.

Websites are awesome, but paying for videogame websites before videogames seems crazy to me.

Going to have to reiterate this, Dead Island (from what I've seen) doesn't look like it's worth anyone's time or money. Deus Ex is getting great reviews, though, get a discounted (preowned or what have you) copy if you're on a budget.

Easy choice.  Get Deus Ex, then dick around with your friends for an hour on Fridays to simulate the Happy Hour experience.

As much as I want Dead Island to be good, Ahmad is probably right.
