I really am getting tired of the sudden plague of "Hidden Object" games that have been infesting the PC gaming racks lately (and some sections of the Wii). WTF is this suddenly, that old Highlights magazine??!?! And what pisses me off the most is that it baits you in with a cool cover or title or premise that would be awesome as a point-n-click or some other game that actually has GAMEPLAY in it, (or effort) then that promise and awesomeness gets flushed down the drain when I look on the back (hoping to have found another point-n-click adventure game or something along those lines) and realize it's just a frikkin' Hidden Object game. And there's so many of them. It's annoying.
I just gotta get this off my chest

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark, and assume you are referring to the influx of adventure games hitting steam. Well get fucking used to it, alot of those games are old and there are more to come.

Solid first post.
It sucks so hard that Giant Bomb says that it doesn't even count as a post.

Nah, he's talking about hidden object games, which are basically I Spy. They're everywhere, and it's annoying if you dabble in casual titles.
I think he's talking about those games you find in the bargain bin that have you searching for objects in a static background.

I know, he sent me a PM.
I knew what he was talking about immediately because I'm starting to see these games way more often and it's annoying. It's the worst kind of shovelware >:I

I think it's a tad sad that it took clarification, I mean everyone knows what a hidden-object game is.@Dany said:
What is wrong with you people?
He says hidden object game in the OP.
Pretty much this.
On point, I am not sure I can be "mad" that those types of games are releasing en mass, that would be like caring that there are an enormous amount of FPS's out there and that's just a tad ridiculous. I can guarantee you there is a market for those types of games and I happen to know it mostly falls to the people who play Pogo.com games or mothers stuck at home caring for their babies.
