I'm still not too sure for whom to vote.
McCain is wishy-washy, and Obama is too. Both are far from my ideal.
While I like most of McCain's politics I can't help but think he is simply pandering to his base and at the same time making statements to get votes from the moderates. ...oh wait, so is Obama with his moving to the center.
Both potential candidates have altered so many positions over the last few months that I am thinking of abstaining my vote. Not that voting would make much of a difference in my state anyway. It'll go Republican; it always does. It's similar to California's always going Democrat.

Whoever you feel is right for office at the time of voting.
If I lived in the States I'd vote Obama. But I'm just a crazy Canadian, what would I know?
I'm certainly leaning toward McCain, but as a conservative I don't find him too awfully different from the Obamessiah. If I fancied myself a soothsayer, I'd predict that Obama wins the Presidency. He definitely possesses the overall popular vote. I'd love to have a black man on Pennsylvania Avenue but not for only the sake of his race. Beliefs trump race for the most part.

P.S. most people here will probably tell you to vote for Obama
"I'll probably end up voting for McCain... there's just a couple things that I really disagree with about Obama that will keep me from voting for him.Same. Obama captivates an audience so often, but he oozes with politician to the point that I don't many times take his opinions seriously.

It really doesn't matter who you vote for. Electronic vote machine results can be entirely fabricated. Even if your vote does somehow manage to count, you're just picking the next marionette on strings for the people behind the scenes to pull on. The Presidency is a farce, real power doesn't change hands every 4 or 8 years. Sounds like somebody needs to do some research on their shadow government, so that their feelings of vague unease can be cemented into outright outrage. Good luck.
"I'm still not too sure for whom to vote.I hate both of them personally, do us all a favor and write in Ron Paul.

And btw the word "substantial" is a terrible choice of wording as one vote does not even come close to making a substantial difference in a high school election let alone a national one.I hate both of them personally, do us all a favor and write in Ron Paul.Meh, I want my potential vote to at least make some substantial difference. If I vote I'll vote for one of the two who have a reasonable chance.

Sorrt for the rant but this shit gets under my skin.
Hooray for voter obstinance. Not voting creates the same level of tumult in our two party system as voting for a non-factor candidate such as Ron Paul. In this system we are prided more on voting for either republicans or democrats and not who we really think should lead us. This entire system leads to a group of people running our country that aren't fit for the positions that they have "bought" themselves. To truly start to see what our political system could be like we need to start waking up and voting for what we believe. If you believe Kusinich would lead us best, write him in, Paul, do the same, a recombinant form of Hitler and Oprah, go for it. To truly shake the political system F*** Obama and McCain, they have become party line and blind to our needs and wants as a country.
Sincerely,
Your friendly politically neutral socialist/fascist role-model

"Bloviator said:I never said I was a "true conservative." Don't let my posts get too far under your skin. Read them as though you were speaking to an acquaintance. Potentially what you have said is good, but again I think in a realistic fashion rather than a theoretical one on this matter anyway. Voting third party won't work at this time. I'd like it to, but it won't. Perhaps that is a problem essentially, but the problematics of that choice is outweighed in my opinion by the immediacy of choosing a viable candidate."Foil_Charizard said:This is the reason why a 2 party system dominates our gov't, writing in a name or voting 3rd party makes a larger statement then voting out of contempt (especially sense you claim to be a true conservative), if you actually were passionate about one of the 2 it would make sense but just picking one because a 3rd party will never win just means you're part of the problem. I agree with you in that anyone's vote may make little difference. As I've said before, in my state it almost doesn't matter, because it will go Republican. I used substantially facetiously there. Actually, I should have italicized "some" and "substantial."
No problem on the rant there. That's all part of it. I expected it.
Now now, little boys may get you going but it's not healthy, why don't you have a seat over there and we will help you.

It's a bit long, sure, but I wouldn't have bothered going to find it and then posting it for you if i thought anyone who watched it wouldn't be the better for it. After all, what greater purpose is there for the human mind than to make sense of things that previously were a mystery?"watch this, O' smart alecky doubtful one:I was serious with my comment. Don't let yourself be counted among the willfully ignorant. Also, I'm not trying to insult you, it was just the winking thing kind of made your answer come off as snarky. My Apologies.
Obama is the lesser of both evils. So I'd vote for him.
Mccain is... retarded. Seriously. He graduated like what, 890th out of a class of 897 graduates? That's bad. Also, he doesn't know how to use a computer. What the hell. And he wants to stay in Iraq for another 100 years if he feels it's necessary.
Just put insects or shit on your cock...
Oh wait elections, my bad. I'm going to vote for McCain he's my kind of guy.
