My would be a Red Panda. If you doubt there cuteness look at this video.
If you could have any pet what would it be?
I have never seen a Red Panda.
After watching the video I do believe that having one of those is a fine choice.
But I would probably buy a Sulimov dog if I was able to do so.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axolotl
The feature of the salamander that attracts most attention is its healing ability: the axolotl does not heal by scarring and is capable of the regeneration of entire lost appendages in a period of months, and, in certain cases, more vital structures. Some have indeed been found restoring the less vital parts of their brains. They can also readily accept transplants from other individuals, including eyes and parts of the brain—restoring these alien organs to full functionality. In some cases, axolotls have been known to repair a damaged limb as well as regenerating an additional one...

The Peregrine is renowned for its speed, reaching speeds of over 320 km/h (200 mph) during its characteristic hunting stoop, making it the fastest extant member of the animal kingdom.
Yeah, I saw those Red Pandas on bing like 6 months ago. They look like cuter versions of coons. Freaking adorbs!
Anyways, I have been entertaining the thought of a miniature giraffe.
" Not sure if it counts as it's actually a pet you can own, but I would really like a red tailed boa constrictor! They usually don't get much larger then about a meter in length, and they are super friendly! As long as they are well fed of cause ^^ "Sure you can own them (I guess depending on where you live). I use to own a breeding pair of red-tailed boas. They can get way longer than a meter. My female was six feet and the male was five feet. Snakes being friendly doesn't really have to do with whether they are well fed. It is really about how much you handle them. You could feed a snake every week, but if you don't handle it, it will go feral quick and get mean and defensive. All you have to do is handle the snake regularly to keep it tame. Snakes are great pets if you learn how to keep them properly.
Crows!
Of the realm of non-human pets though... I'd befriend a flock of crows/ravens. A guard dog kinda deal. I pay a walnut a day for each bird and they go after any and all trespassers. Gonna teach them to go for the eyes too.
Also - crows make excellent pets. Can last more than 20 years. Now that's for real!
Mastiff!
Dog-wise... Mastiff - now that's a dog!
I'd have a Tiger of either kind if it had to be a real pet. If it could be anything i'd have a Raichu.
A good and smart cat like the one I had. But you get the idea that's wanting lightning to strike twice..saw a wild river otter that took to some boaters on some nature show..had a hell of a personality. Come to think, a large bobcat that was raised with a family, learned to use the toilet by watching...eeerrrrrrr. It was a neat animal too.
Tossing all practicality out the window, and then dropping something heavy on it, I'd say that Polar Bears are pretty sweet.
