I think I wouldn't, but I have never been so hungry as to have bugs as my only option, so I can't say for sure how the hunger would affect me. Would you, if it meant life or death?
What? You're too full of pride to stay alive? If it comes to a point where one needs to eat bugs to survive, then you are in a setting where things are in a state of 'survival of the fittest'. I hope you're fit enough to kill a god damn bug and eat it.
There's alot of places in the world (alot of Asia for instance) that eat insects and they're a good part of their diet. They're rich in protein and once you get over the squimishness they're probably fine to eat. You can't just say "would you eat bugs?" because I wouldn't just eat random bugs crawling under the carpet. Alot of insects are poisoness or indigestable. I'd eat crickets, ants and things like that that I know are edible if I had to. I never have eaten an insect before but I'd have no second thoughts in eating some fried crickets if my life depended on it. Silly question.
@teh_pwnzorer: I think he's talking about the insect arthropods, excluding crustaceans. I know bugs is a term for small group of insects but... I don't think the OP's being that specific. He's someone who sees a spider on his shoe and goes "eeewwww a bug!".
Yes, of course. I probably would've gone a few days without food first though, but I would eat bugs to survive. That said, I don't think most insects where I'm from would sustain me for long. I'd have to find a wasp's nest or something.

The funny thing is you've all probably eaten insects already without realizing it. The FDA allows for food to have a certain amount of insect bits, albeit you're eating them in heavily processed foods like cereal, chips, etc.
But hey, when the moment of truth comes and your life depends on it, I think most people wouldn't mind stuffing there faces with ants and like just so they can live and see the next day.

At some point last year, I remember reading that people in Zimbabwe were starving and following cows around to eat the undigested corn from the poop. Now THATS starving.

@RJay_64: I image because the cow produces milk and can reproduce. You could also sell the cow at some point. I imagine people in a situation like this don't have a refrigerator either..so if they killed the cow, they might get a good meal or two before the rest of the animal went bad.
Depends what the situation is. Am I just deserted on an island waiting to be rescued? Yes. Am I the last human left after the apocalypse and there's only cockroaches and maggots? Unlikely. It all comes down to what the point of sustaining myself is.
"do X to survive" questions like this imply a low chance of survival unless you do X. In such a bleak situation I would have no interest in finding out if there's light at the end of a several month or possibly several year tunnel. I don't see the point; I don't have to survive. My existence is not crucial to anything. While I'm here, I'll do the best I can; I'll put up a fight if it seems sensible; but if the situation is truly bleak, I'm outta here.
If you were just staying alive to feast on bugs the rest of your life I'd rather die. If there was going to be some hope of being rescued then sure. We've all had a few uninentionally.. imagine if you had time to prepare them mmmm..
