Importing Blu Rays.

Will a Blu Ray imported from America work on a PS3 bought in the UK, I want to try and import Breaking Bad.

Blu-rays from America are region A. Blu-rays in the UK are region B.

PS3s will only play Region - B coded blu-rays. Some Blu-rays are multiregion. You should check to see what region coding is on the blu-ray before buying it

Importing Blu-rays is most of the times a game of luck. Even if it is supposed to be a multiregion Blu-ray it might just not work on your player, sometimes the information on the wrapper is just wrong or you are unlucky with the firmware of your player.

For "Breaking Bad" it seems that the first season is region free according to two retailers I checked so far.

For season two, one retailer has listed the Blu-ray as region free while the other has listed it as region A. Season Three seems to be region A only.

No idea if there are also different editions of the Blu-rays with different region encodings...

I've bought a few Blu-rays from the US and had no problem playing them on my PS3 here in the UK, but like others have mentioned, you do have to check it's not region locked first.
