That movie looks good. I was surprised by a lot of the nominations to be frank. I find it hilarious that Tom Cruise and Robert Downey Jr. are nominated, and Heath Ledger is an unsurprising choice, and I hope he will win.
In Bruges Golden Globe
Dude, In Bruges is easily the years best comedy, even if it does take at least 2 viewings to fully come to terms with. It's so wholesome in the sense that everything meshes perfectly, the tastelessness is for once required to do the plot justice and it is very, very fucking funny.
Sod it, I call best comedy of the decade.
In Bruges is probably the best film of the year in general, so i'm pleased to see it's been nominated for awards even though it didn't do so well at the box office.
once again a few movies that got released this past month that nobody saw or gave a shit about get nominated for all the big awards. if the globes didn't give The Dark Knight the respect it deserves, than i have little hope in the Oscars. i'm not saying it needed to win everything, or anything at all, but it only got one nomination and thats just non sense.

But I doubt any of them were as entertaining as the Dark Knight was for so many people."

Dude, In Bruges has a dwarf on drugs, people being thrown out of towers, a little boy being shot in the face and a shitload of cussing.
And as well as that, it has heart, and not the sappy 'I'm King of the World' sort from Titanic. I mean real heart.
To put real emotion into a film with those sorts of elements is a fucking feat, my friend and as much as I loved The Dark Knight (and I did love TDK) there is no doubt in my mind that In Bruges was a better film.
"It's probably the best film Colin Farrell has been in."Surely, sir, you jest.
What about Daredevil, eh? Eh? ^_^;
In any other film it would be, but in In Bruges, the only way you could get around it is if you actually put a kid in there and a kid hopped up on drugs like that would have been more sad than funny.
And when you consider the self-centred nature of Colin Farrels character (for the most part of the movie) it just seems natural for that Dwarf humour to come out eventually.
Wow, I'm totally shocked anyone else saw this movie. I too really enjoyed it a lot.
I didn't look at the nom list yet, this is nice to hear though! It was overlooked.....

Imagined this movie would be more popular than it apparently is. Guess it is a rather difficult movie to market. Fucking Bruges.
Anyway, definitely keeping an eye on this Martin McDonagh guy in the future.
