Yup...im being interviewed by some guy tomarrow for like a floor person/cashier type of job at Curcuit City. And i'm pretty excited and I know i've easily got any question that he could possible throw at me down....but what are some questions normally asked for these types of positions? Maybe I overlooked a few questions that I should anticipate...so I guess I don't have EVERY question down lol
Interview Tomarrow :/
"One of the things the guy doing the interview at Target asked me was if I intended to steal any of their products while employed there. I was just like "... what?"."
haha my friend worked there and she said that when she was interviewed, she got asked the most random never-going-to-happen questions ever
Customer service, sales, customer service, sales. As long as most of your answers come back to your prowess in these areas, you'll be fine.
"I think they'll pretty much hire anyone who doesn't look like a complete degenerate or smell like whiskey when they come in to be interviewed."
yeah thats what I was thinking.....i mean i'm as about as polite and normal enough for a job at circuit city seriously
"You have nothing to worry about. I'll tell you that much."
Yeah...but I still have that 'Im not going to bed easily tonight' nerves as of right now
Nah, don't worry about it. Just stay cool in the interview, answer everything he asks in a reasonable way, try to read the guys tone and attitude and suite your answer to what you think he would expect or want to hear. If the guy is a laid back kind of guy, seems to like you, chill and whatnot, then answer the answers casually and normal, in a 'i got this' fashion while still answering correctly. If the guy seems strict, doesn't really smile much, straight to the point and wants to get this over, dont give him shit, give him propper answers and what he wants to hear.
It's really quite simple, you just have to be able to control yourself and read/react correctly.
""Can you spell at a 3rd grade level?"
Just kidding, they'll just ask you stuff like what you want to accomplish out of the job."
Laughed but good luck it cant be that hard to be a circuit city cashier
The worst question in the history of all interviews is "What is your worst quality?" I've been asked it before, and it messes with your mind, since you want to remain employable, yet criticize yourself at the same time.
And people don't buy an answer like "I work too hard".
Good luck tomorrow!
UPDATE!!! o.k. well I show up at 10:45 for the interview at 11 and I go to the customer service area where I was told to ask for 'Dean' and so the guy at the counter said ok and asked if anyone knew where 'Dean' was on his walky talky thing....no response...30 minutes later the customer service guy tells me he's going to go look for a manager....30 minutes later he comes back and says ALL of the managers are gone today...'Dean' just didn't show up for work at 10, another is in a conference and won't be available all day, and another is out sick!!!! He calls the girl manager 'the sick one' and she says she will be in tomarrow and can interview me then at noon. O well i guess....woke up at 9 in the morning for nothing.

That's not very organized at all... You had to wait an hour just to get told to come back tomorrow? Eh... Sounds like they need better management, lol.
"Just_Insane said:yeah my aunt drove me and she was like "WHAT THE HELL, WHY WOULD YOU WANNA WORK THEIR!!! THATS HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!?!?!".....thats an axaggeration but she was still just happy to drive me and see me"UPDATE!!! o.k. well I show up at 10:45 for the interview at 11 and I go to the customer service area where I was told to ask for 'Dean' and so the guy at the counter said ok and asked if anyone knew where 'Dean' was on his walky talky thing....no response...30 minutes later the customer service guy tells me he's going to go look for a manager....30 minutes later he comes back and says ALL of the managers are gone today...'Dean' just didn't show up for work at 10, another is in a conference and won't be available all day, and another is out sick!!!! The first thing they should do in the interview is apologize for not being able to conduct the interview at the scheduled date and time.
Be late tomorrow to the interview, and if anyone asks you why your late or anything, come up with a witty remark like "well you set a good example yesterday by not showing up, so I didn't think being late would be a big deal", or something along those lines. :P
Totally what I would do....
yeah....i REALLY want an easy part time-ish job and the people working there are amazing....except for the managers...or at least the one that decided not to show up for work and not contact me to reschedule the interview. But the girl manager tomarrow is supposedly extremely nice...and short (shes 4 1/2 ft. tall)
