More Danny and Drew is always good.
Introducing: Alt+F1
I'm seeing a lot of people saying "I know nothing of these vroom cars" so if you guys are interested in learning a bit more about the rules and tech I thought I'd throw up a list of videos which explain some of it.
Note: I've shamelessly stolen all of these from Reddit.
Know what all of the flags mean
What the hell is a double diffuser?
More about Tyres but explained by current driver Nico Rosberg
Nico Rosberg is practically lying down in his car
A summary of how the 2014 engines and ERS system are suspected to work
Ground Effects - A very interesting video on the basic aerodynamic principals of F1 cars as explained by former Williams and Ferrari design engineer Enrique Scalabron.
I'm a big motorsport fan; and this is great news!
I also run a Fantasy F1 competition for my work colleagues, Silverstone Racing Club members (of which; I am one). And; this year I've added a competition for the professors/students of the Silverstone UTC (University Technical College). Should I consider adding a "Giant Bomb Alt-F1" competition too? Would anyone here want to play?
I'm a European and I approve of this idea! Looking forward to this Drew, and it's cool that it'll be free on the webpage, does that mean it will be available to download for free as well? Great to see this diversification of content and the staff going off on the tangents they're interested in, keeps the site fresh.
@thebatmobile: What typeface did you use on the title for that? It's really cool.
@pikselkriger: Love it!
@sin4profit: I think you really nailed Danny's face actually. Also Danny "Tyre" O'Dwyer is just genius. It even rhymes!
I don't know a lot about F1, but racing always interested me, and it'll be cool to hear a mix of perspectives on this with Drew just getting into it and Danny having a European outlook. They're also two cool and hilarious motherfuckers so I am stoked.
Here's my cover submission:
@beepmachine: I used Avant Garde CE. But I had to modify the A myself to make it look like the one in the Senna poster. Your artwork is looking great by the way!
As time is of the essence. Maybe I should set up a Giant Bomb Alt+F1 competition. It doesn't take very long or much effort. However I don't want to be stepping on anyone's toes.
Welp. I'm back onboard. I haven't watched F1 since Schumacher was king. So this podcast, and the fact that Denmark now has a driver, has reeled me in again.
Okay; I've done it. I've added a "Giant Bomb Alt+F1" Fantasy Formula 1 competition....

I'll make a new thread too.
I'm made a new topic regarding an Alt+F1 Fantasy Formula 1 competition here.
Now I'm thinking about Shuu Iwamine driving a race car. I'm okay with that.
this is the only true theme music Super Monaco GP
I'm excited for this. I've always wanted to get more into F1 (and motor sports in general). Maybe this will get me to watch more events.
@drewbert: I know absolutely nothing about F1 other than the cars go vroom vroom. Your enthusiasm for the sport recently has piqued my interest so I will definitely give this 'cast a listen.
Drew still had the best explainer I heard about how Vettel/Red Bull were using KERS to reverse engineer traction control on the RB9 last year. Pretty excited for this!
Hey guys! If you guys are excited to get into F1 thanks to the podcast but are scared of all this shit you need to know/catch up on, I wrote a Beginner's Guide on my blog to help guide you through the basics. c: It's got pretty pictures and everything too!
After seeing Jeff post about this on twitter and after being a really long time fan of giantbomb especially the podcast (although never apart of the community because don't feel that i would belong). I couldn't pass up a chance to make a theme for a podcast about one of my fave sports! Hope you enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/astro-stasis/vroom-alt-f1-theme-submission
Now, I have to advertise a little: you should check Kimi Räikkönen before the season starts. That man gives best driver comments at the moment (and he drives for Ferrari).
"How does it feels to drive at 300 km/h? - It feels normal."
"What kind of a relationship do you have with Peter Sauber? - He is my boss."
"Is he a father figure or a god father? - He is my boss."
"The helmet has a special meaning for many drivers. How important is it to you? - It protects my head."
I'm an American that loves F1! Crazy, I know. I'm glad Drew and Danny decided to do this. Should be a good team. Drew's great, but I wouldn't be able to handle not being able to correct all his mistakes he makes (same reason I don't like watching the quick looks for F1 games). But with Danny here, he'll be able to do the correcting live (and probably teach me a lot, too).

And how could we forget this moment.
All of these are amazing, but this made me laugh so much. Nice work sir :D
Nice to see my work in the GB podcast player. i appreciate the positive feedback in the comments, thanks to all those duders.
i reformatted the image to fit the podcast player better.
@dannyodwyer: Thanks, Danny! It was all for the laughs!
I may or may not have prioritised listening to this over listening to the Bombcast this week. Awesome work, @drewbert & @dannyodwyer!
Can we get a confirmation of the email address? is it atff1, alt+f1, alt-f1...?

That was pretty sweet. The riff went on for a long time but I guess that's good for editing.
