I originally wanted a Iphone, but I cant afford the Plan and all that, so im thinking of going with the next best thing and getting a Itouch. I mainly want it for Internet radio and apps, and if I ever wanna use Youtube on it. I have Wifi in my house. Im mainly just worried I wont find Wifi in the outside world on a regular basis. Meaning the only srue fire way im going to get to use the Network stuff is when im at home. But I also wanted it for the games and all that. And its a bigger screen that I can view my videos on. Im mainly jsut wondering If i would be wasting my money and if its the next best thing to a IPHONE if I cant get that. I cant afford the plan because I dont have a job, and I already have a phone plan.
If I already have a 80 gb IPOD classic with video, is it worth the upgrade to a touch? why?
I think that it is worth it. The interface is great, there are some great apps amongst all of the crap on the AppStore. There is also a lot of open Wireless Internet access areas around in metropolitan areas, Starbucks gives you wifi if you use their rewards card, and lot's of people just don't put any security on their wifi.
I used to be a former Apple basher until I got an Ipod Touch. I love all of the ridiculous apps. Idk of any device where I can carry my cat piano, my rewards cards, yoga stretches and Stephen Colbert all in my pocket.
I got an iPod touch recently and I love it. I use it everyday. It's nice to be able to reach over when I wake up and check your mail, Facebook, play Peggle, check sports scores, etc. without having to get up. Oh yeah, it plays music and movies too, lol :) Really, I can't get over how awesome it is and I've had it for over a month now. I have to force myself to stay away from the iTunes store or I could drop a good fortune on games and apps easy.
Does the fact it isnt 3G limit it at all? is it easy to find WIFI spots nowadays that dont have Security passwords? My main fear is im going to get this thing, and Im going to rarely use the Internet stuff because I cant find Non security wifi outside my house.
