Is a PT Cruiser a girls car?

So I took my crap car in to get an oil change, and the grease monkeys found a small crack in some sort of thing, can't remember, but it didn't look good. Anyways, long story short, I've been looking to get a better car for a while now, and a local place has a 2002 Black PT Cruiser for 6K. My question to the community is, is the PT Cruiser considered a girls car? I'm a large man (6'5), so it seems like it would be big enough for me to fit behind, but would I be thought of as a girly man or even worse, a "gay", if I were to drive it? That "gay" remark was a joke by the way, so settle down homos (also a joke).

I had to take my driver's test in a PT Cruiser. The only thing I didn't like about it was the jacked up rear end. It makes backing up and navigating in reverse a pain in the ass. Especially if you have to go down a hill. If you had a problem with anything, that would be it. As for the question of masculinity, I would say it doesn't exist. The only thing I've heard surrounding the PT Cruiser is how trendy it was when it first came out. That's about it.

Wouldn't say so, but if you have any doubts in your own mind about its physical appearance it would be best not to buy it. Something that will last you for a few good years. Not a fan of the PT Cruisers looks personally but it ain't a Miata so don't really think its a girls car :p

It's not a girls car in the slightest, it is, however, a very love it or hate it car and most people hate it. A salesman at a company I worked for drove one and he was heterosexual. So much so he was bald.

I agree with Sarumarine though. That jacked up back end makes going in reverse a pain in the ass. Trying to parallel park in that thing during my driving test was so nerve racking.

They aren't very reliable. I wouldn't recommend one.

Every aspect about the PT Cruiser has been said already so what I'll say to you Percy is that you can find a much better car for 6 grand.

The PT cruiser gets crap gas mileage.  It can be girly, but you can butch it up with some bullet hole decals.

Yes there is such a thing as a girl car.  For one, most white cars are girls cars.  Never buy a white convertible. Second, the only way that the car is not gay is if it is the one with the wooden panels.  If I were you, a tall guy, get a mid size sedan, for fusion, or go for an older For Escape, Honda CRV.  But no, dont get a PT cruiser.

Well there so such thing as a girl car...but I could see you getting ALOT of crap for driving it. I have a friend that does, and we all give him shit. So if you can take the crap, then get it. Its a quality car for a cheap price.

Hey, a car's a car (Unless you buy American). I mean, I own a Smart Car, and it's been working great for me every since.

I would advise against buying anything Chrysler-branded at all. Reliability sucks and with the several thousand dealerships closing down, good luck getting it serviced.

I was mudding, rolled it off a cliff. It started right up after all that. Dodges and Jeeps are built like tanks. The worst problem it had before or after that, was the tires got dry-rot on them, and that has nothing to do with it being a Chrysler branded car. It has 175,000 miles on it now, and still no problems. They run forever.
