Is this basically comicvine?

Is this site an off shoot of comicvine? I signed in with my CV account and it seemed to work. The layout of the websites are identical.

Both owned by the same company, similar idea of being personality driven and having a community wiki but on games and not comics.

But we don't allow "who would win?" discussion here.

DAAAAVE was one of the original designers of both sites.

Both are among the first of the Whiskey Media collection of sites, which also included Tested, Screened, and Anime Vice. Eventually they were all sold off, Giant Bomb and Comic Vice going to CBS, but still retraining their shared login, and the others going to various other places where they either changed or eventually died.

Giantbomb is the origin story. In the past both sites shared user databases and design with some other sites that later was sold off.
