Tesla rings no bell besides the Tesla Roadster, an electric sports car. Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb. He may not have been the first, but it worked better than the ones before him.
Thomas Edison was a jerk who robbed Tesla of all his inventions. Nikolai Tesla was a genius and it's sad (and obvious by this thread, as no doubt was the TCs intention) that the world still doesn't know.

It was, im confused as to why so many people know of Edison but barely as much know about Tesla, he practically invented the 21st century.

edison sucks. nikola tesla was genious its an untalked about fact that thomas edison stole his ideas. the reason nobody knows about him in the usa is becuase america hates serbia and he was seriban. like me.

Reprint of what? History? Or a reprint of what technology were currently using?
Tesla was a genius and invented both electrical transformers and Alternating Current both of which are needed to make Electricity work in practical terms
Edison was a tool who flew a kite in a thunderstorm, invented the horrendously impractical Direct Current and had tesla not existed the sky would be basically a mesh of wires of various different voltages and amerages in order to not destroy most of the equipment that currently exists (if even possible - the priciple used in transformers is very similar to the principle resistors work on and no resistors means no transistors which means even the old fashioned radios would've been impossible.)

Very true and very sad, however its Edison who is credited with all these inventions when he was nothing more then a heavily sponsored fool with no genius in him at all.
