Going well off-topic here, but legendary NHL tough guy Bob Probert passed away suddenly yesterday while boating with his family. Probert ruled the NHL from 1985-86 to 2001-02 as the toughest dude in the league. He was a rare combination of enforcer and goal scoring ability, putting up an impressive 29 goals in 1987-88.
Even if you’re not a hockey fan, you should enjoy these clips of some of Probie’s most famous scraps. Fighting is a fairly divisive issue in the hockey community, but there’s no arguing that Probert was as good at it as anybody ever.
