Im curious, how many of you pot smokers know who Marc Emery is?
In BC almost everyone knows who he is, but im wondering how his popularity is in the states."

If you're going have a thread about marijuana, at least do it right and put it in the marijuana forum.

THC should be legalized for recreational and medicinal purposes. It's use should be unrestricted and unregulated.

I know Marc Emery, first found out about him due to the documentary Super High Me.

This is going to get locked when the mods come online, but until then, I might as well join in on the discussion.

I have never smoked pot and I don't intend to. I'm 16 and all of my friends have, one of my closest friends is a complete stoner. He's smart and a great guy, but a major stoner. The funny thing is, everyone thinks I'm a stoner. Most parents in my community don't like, they think somehow I'm a bad influence. Which is hilarious, considering how so many of their kids are always on my back trying to get me to smoke pot. I just don't want to. I love to drink, but I just don't want to smoke. I'm my own person and I make my own decisions. And I say I'm not going to smoke pot.

That's not to say I think pot is a bad thing, it isn't. And it should be legalized. Because, let's be honest, alcohol is way more harmful than marijuana could ever "dream" to be. That aside, I'm not a smoker. I have no intention to. wutevz lolzrofl

Yeah, allot of people have off topic turned off, so actually more people will see it if it's in the marijuana forum. Plus if someone is looking for a thread on marijuana in a couple of weeks time, and they check the marijuana forum, they would find the post, but since its in off topic it'll be buried under hundreds of other threads."

I've never smoked marijuana, and I look down on people who do.

That said, I think it should be legalized for all purposes, including recreation. Cannabis seems to be less harmful than tobacco, but there is already a worldwide movement to ban / heavily regulate tobacco sale.

People have to understand that if people want to hurt themselves, they can. Would you want to pass regulation on people banging their head against a wall?

Also, for the record, there is no concrete proof that smoking Marijuana can harm anybody,  apart from the obvious fact that smoking in general effects your lungs.

There is no proof that ties together mental health and cannabis, at present.

In fact, as of late, there is an increase of studies showing that there is no harm.
