Ok, so bear with me on this.

I just had a dream about me sleeping and hearing noises and footsteps, but I knew there was nobody there. And then, while I was still dreaming that I was sleeping in the dream, I wake up, go to a mirror, look at myself, and my eyes look bloody. Not blood-shot, but straight up blood IN my eyes.

And then, I notice a pimple on my forehead, and think "Huh?? Why do I have a pimple?" So I pop the pimple, and then there is even more blood on my face, so I wipe it all off with a napkin or something.

And then, I knew I didn't really wake up because I woke up again! I look at my laptop (I was watching an Endurance Run episode on my bed earlier) and the edge is bent and the screen is a little messed up, so I go "OH NO!!1 I must have rolled over it!" And so I go to the bathroom and start splashing cold water onto myself to wake myself up (I am still in the dream but I think I'm awake), but when I splash the cold water onto my face, I can't feel it! So I'm thinking "Oh god, am I in a coma right now?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

Then I FINALLY wake up, but my eyes are so heavy and tired, that I just go into a "mini" sleep, and tell my sleep self to wake up in three ours or so for my math class. But my sleep self said "Ah, but first you must solve this here code, old chap," and I'm thinking "WTF I'm not British?!" and then the number "143 or 144" appeared and I'm trying to reach for the calculator on my desk, even though I don't even know what to do with those numbers in the first place! I thought "screw you sleep self" and finally woke up for realzies. I checked the computer, everything was fine; I went to the bathroom, my eyes were fine; I splashed the cold water, and I felt it.

But doodz, that was the craziest shit  I have ever experienced. I thought it might have been a lucid dream, but I don't think I realized that in the dream. This dream was such a mindfuck that I almost have the urge to write "THEN WHO WAS PHONE?!" at the end of this, lmao.

Anyone else have some crazy dream stories?

Aren't lucid dreams the ones where you are in complete control of everything in the dream?

When I see this, I always think, "I am going to get nothing but confused after reading this."

I was right. Cool dream, though.

I can tell you that a recurring theme in my own dreams is that everything appears normal except that some specific thing is stupidly fucking ridiculous and I don't realize it until I wake up.  Like, for example, when I dreamt that my elementary school was near a giant fissure in the ground. "No prob", my dream self says and I just walk around that shit like it's no thing. Then I wake up all like "o_O"

I also tend to dream that small buildings like my house or where I work happen to have multiple wings and huge lobbies, giant flat roofs that heli's could land on, etc.

Correct. Usually having some horror themes to them too, which is usually the cause of nightmares, feeling you are actually in the dream and horrible things are happening to you.

Yeah, I've had some pretty vivid dreams. Not quite like that, but vivid in detail in other ways and which would take up FAR too much space to describe here. Ironically I usually never dream or, more accurately, remember my dreams (since we all dream whether we remember them or not). It's so bad I even do things before going to sleep that are supposed to give you "nightmares" like eating chocolate, etc. Still doesn't work.

I think 'lucid' refers to dreams where your dreaming self is aware that he is in a dream. I don't think 'control' goes past moving your body where you want to go. Has anyone ever lucid dreamt and just decided to do something specific like spawn an object?

Edit: Also, noclip during a dream would be ridiculous.

A month or so ago, my roomate was having a friend of his over for the weekend. The night before she arrived I had a dream that they had come into my room while I was still in bed to introduce her to me, then left and I went back to sleep. I didn't realize it was a dream, so when I woke up and she wasn't there I asked my roomate where she was.... And he was like "WTF are you talking about?" of course. It's kind of hard to tell if something is a a dream when it happens where you are sleeping and it's a plausible event.

I wish I could remember my dreams still. The only funny story I have is that one time someone was breathing right over my face really loud whilst I was sleeping so I  just lunged out thinking that I was dreaming and hurt the person quite badly

Well, there are huge lucid dreaming forums with users that claim they can do that.  I also think I had done that once (had done some super power fight with another being), but most of the time when I believed I was in control, I wake up and realize that I was not.

That fact that you remember it clearly makes me call BULLSHIT.

On a semi-related note, last night I couldn't sleep... sortof. I was awake, looked at the clock and it was 2:00 AM. 5 minutes (or what I thought was 5 minutes) later I looked at the clock. 3:00 AM. This happened again throughout the night, but not to the same extent. I got up after thinking I was awake and a little bit ago I had looked at  the clock and it was 4:00 AM, but I looked at it after I woke and it was like 4:35, it should've only been 4:05!!! What the fuck? Creepy shit. All this on the night that I watched the House episode with chick that didn't know she was sleeping... weird, huh?

Isn't that were people write down their dreams right after they've woken up? It was something like that anyway.

I'm not so good with dreams or maybe I can't remember them. Although I dreamt that I was a lesbian engaged in a sexual act once. It's a lot more weird than you think.

I once drove a motorbike over a cliff while being chased by tigers. and when I hit the ground I woke up and sat up in bed and screamed, I think i might have had an arrhythmia and my pulse was like 210. it was intense. and i try never to dream about tigers again.

Yeah, that's pretty much what a dream journal is.  You don't have to write your dream down right when you wake up, but it's way more effective because that's when the dream is still fresh in your mind and you can remember the details.

The scariest dream i had was when i was a kid. I dreamed my mom asked me to go into the basement to get something but as i walked down stairs the door shut behind me. I heard a low rumble and saw glowing eyes slowly walking towards me. As i reached up and turned on the lights i was face to face with a raptor. This was shortly after watching Jurassic Park so i knew they hunted in packs. I was terrified to look sideways because i could smell their bad breath and feel them breathing on each side of me, just waiting for me to look at them so they could eat me. As i turned to run away the dream turned into one of those weird never ending the door is always too far away sprints. I did this for what felt like a long time as i felt them nipping at my heels with each step until the door just appeared in front of me and i crashed through it. Then i began to crawl up the stairs one step at a time, kicking the raptors every time they came in for a bite until they finally jumped on top of me. I could feel the pack leaders weight pressing down on my chest and felt the bad breath as it reared its head back to finally chomp down on me and i covered my eyes with my hands making it go all dark.

Then i awoke staring into my cats glowing eyes as she sat on my chest yawning, smelling the cat breath stench and seeing her huge ass fangs an inch from my face. I felt my heart drop to the floor as i knew i was about to die and be eaten by a raptor, then i saw it wasn't a raptor but my cat. That is when i realized she had been nibbling on my toes while i slept, then i had fought with her as she crawled on top of me to sit on my chest. And that i had just wet myself.

the only dream i can remember was the freakiest,  i was one of those things in metroid that go in corcles around the platfroms, but me and the other ones started having a panic attack because we couldnt jump, we then freaked out so much that we killed ourselves, i then woke up and was freaking out for some reason, i went into my tv room and the tv was upside down, and for some reason this was a huge problem so i started stressing out more than i thought possible, then i sat on the bathroom floor, then i actually woke up and checked the tv , it was right side up so i went to sleep, that was the most stressful dream where i was always panicing over everything, it really freaked me out :P  other than that i dont really remember dreams

 Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
I wish, I wish he’d go away...

When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn’t see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don’t you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don’t slam the door... (slam!)

Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn’t there
He wasn’t there again today
Oh, how I wish he’d go away

The Antigonish, from Hugh Mearns

The most crazy i ever had, was when i knew i was sleeping and i hear someone spoke to me, in my dreams, and at the end it says "Wake up!", and i did.

I felt scared and vulnerable, while lying in bed...

That was scary!

When I was younger, I remember having a dream about  hiding from a meched out T-Rex in a desert in a old dusty RV with guns in some sort of sci-fi shoot out. After that my dream skips to me in a ninja school practicing sword fighting when our school came under attack from evil ninjas and a battle ensued. After that my dream skips to me running through a dark canyon with a girl and another guy being chased by urak-kai toward that eye tower in lord of the rings, while we are running in a sewer below the canyon we hear a baby triceratops cry for help and we stop. The girl falls in and save it, while we keep on running from the urak-kai. When the urak-kai catch up, all I remember seeing are their shadows in the moonlight.

Then I wake up. Most crazy dream I have ever had, never mind the coolest. I know this dream sounds crazy, but I have dreams like this pretty often. mostly my dreams are random events strung together. I only remember them for a little while, but I remember the feeling most of them gave me. It is weird.

Awhile ago, when I spent most of my waking time for about a week reading a series of books, I got to the point that I would write chapters to the book in my sleep.  When I woke, it would take me awhile to sort out what I had made up and what was actually in the book.

One time I had this dream, where I was peeling my mom open like a apple.  As I peeled her sides in half wolf spiders poured out.  Then I woke up.  But then fell back asleep and saw myself frozen in my bed.  But two spiders were digging into my hands.  Pinning me down.  Biting me everytime I looked at them.  Then I woke up again and when I opened my eyes my mom was sitting on my neck!  For Real!

So like... one time I had a dream about GTA IV I think. It was like the day after I bought it or something, and was still amazed by the way Niko reacts to falls and how he acts while he's drunk, etc. When I woke up I must not have had class that day because it was sunny and mid-day. This is the weird part. I was awake - like walking around and stuff - but I felt like I was in Grand Theft Auto IV. Like I felt like I was limited in my movements and for some reason I was extremely depressed by all of it. I remember thinking about how I couldn't fly planes anymore but I could climb walls and stuff like that. I tried drinking some water and walking around the house, but my head was still in GTA-universe. I just stood in the kitchen and waited for my mom to get home and I told her what was going on and I almost started crying. I think it was mostly just weird because I didn't know why it was happening or what exactly it was that was happening. Apparently I was having a panic attack? Idk, that's what my brother said.
Actually, now that I think of it, I have crazy-ass dreams about Grand Theft Auto all the time. Usually about San Andreas, though.

What? I wrote this blog minutes after waking up from my dream, how could I not remember it?

And for those of you asking, lucid dreams are dreams where you realize that you are in fact dreaming and then you pretty much take control of whats happening. I've had a few of these, the last one I remember I actually said out loud "I'm dreaming!" and then I started to fly! It was pretty wicked.

Never had a lucid dream, but since I quit smoking 2 weeks ago I've been having some pretty gnarly dreams I.E. the other morning I had a dream involving an old friend of mine. For some reason, he turned evil into a grim reaper of sorts and everything he touched was killed instantly. I remember I was at the footy oval near my house, and there was a group of guys I knew from school kicking a ball around. Well, one of them kicked it onto the road and my old friend (the evil one), picked up the ball and kicked it back to the group. As the ball was sailing through the air towards one of the guys, I frantically tried warning him not to catch the ball, but he mustn't of heard me and unknowingly caught the ball. He was instantly killed.

At that moment we all made a run for it up the hill, through the bush, jumping barb wire fences and shit. I remember one of them pointing out "his feet are touching the ground, which is touching my shoes, which are touching my socks, WHICH ARE TOUCHING MY FEET!".
