Moderators - A Formal Complaint

Dear Giant Bomb moderators,

My English is rather poor, but please bear with me. I tried to type this out to the best of my ability.

I am confused as to why you banned my accounts (BRAAP, quickscopez, etc.). I do not think you were in a good position to determine whether or not my posts were meant to troll, and I do not think that anything I posted was truly ban-worthy. I am reading through the terms of service I agreed to when I signed up for this site, and do not feel I violated any of them. The only exception there is possibly "blatant profanity" usage, but many others (including some in my threads) have not followed this rule either.

Just because many users posted gifs labeling me a troll in my threads does not make it so. Not everyone has to agree, a forum is meant for different ideas and views on a particular issue to be exchanged. If other users don't like my lists they can post why they think I'm wrong and what they think is right, or get out. Yes, I like anime and have different tastes but I am not forcing anyone to click on or read my lists.

I guess what I'm saying is, instead of trying to appeal to the masses try to look at things from both sides first, the majority should not always rule. You are a moderator after all. Instead of instantly dropping the perma-ban right off the bat, you could have at least given me a warning as to what I was doing wrong, I would have listened. A second chance would be much appreciated.

If you wish to make a complaint about the moderation procedures of Giant Bomb, you can complain to the staff via email at support@whiskeymedia.com . Creating an alt account and posting on the forums only further breaks the rules. I will say that we never "instantly drop the perma-ban right off the bat". Users are only permanently banned after multiple warnings and/or suspensions.
